I have an actual puberty question here, make way :P
So my older brother is 18 and post-pubescent (I mean as far as I know). But I've noticed that his Adam's apple hardly shows. Like his friends have a prominent bump there but I can't really see anything on him. And it's not like his voice isn't deep. He's also skinny and I find it's more noticeable on skinny guys but even then he hardly has anything showing.
I'm also wondering because my voice has started getting deeper and my Adam's apple already shows more than his does (you can see in my avatar pic!).

I think we are all unique, so any part of our body can come in any shape or size, so yes an adam's apple can be small

I think with some people you can't see it as much and that it depends on their body type

My Adam's apple is pretty much invisible. It's naturally small and on top of that I have a short neck so it's hidden behind my jaw.

Everyone's different. Some peoples barely show whereas others are very noticable.

Its probably all got to do with genes and your parents.

Everyone is different, some people have it more visible while some people have it more hidden.

We are all different in many ways. Some guys have prominent adams apples and other not so much. You may even end up much different than your brother even.

Everyone is different. Mine doesn't stick out as much but I have friends whose adams apple sticks out so it depends from person to person

All guys r different. If ur face is thin u might
show a larger apple. If u r heavy in the face
u might not even c it. We all have one whether
it is noticed or not.

So what I think is happening here is that how much it shows depends on how big the layrnx is, which is related to how deep your voice is, and how big the other structures in your neck are. If the larynx is big and the rest of the neck is small, then it will be prominent. If the larynx is small it will not be so obvious but a larger larynx may not be so obvious if the person has bulky neck muscles.
Also, bear in mind when I say "large" or "small" here these are relative. Anyone whose voice has changed will have a large larynx compared so someone pre-pubescent.

it varies on a lot of things, genetics play apart of it and being skinny can show it more but everyones voice is different, some people have really deep voices and almost no Adams apple but other boys have higher voices and profound Adams apples

Many of my friend’s show too, but mind doesn’t. I think like everything, we’re all just different. Hope that makes sense. :)
