I doubt there's any major link. Whilst being of the same place of birth increases the likelihood of sharing some genes, natural immigration/emigration as well as large population sizes means that there are a wide range of genes involved that likely vary within the same population.

Most of the boys in my school are Polish, granted 3 or 4 generations removed from immigration. About half my class of 15 had pubes by 12-13, the rest by 15.
