Both can initiate, but its better for the guy to take the first step. It makes the guy look confident. I always go first for first kiss

Many girls say that it is up to the boy to make the first move. I dont agree with that at all, I think if the girl wants to do it, she should go for it rather than just awaits.

If your story is that you have a crush on a girl and you're not sure who should do what, go for it, and show you are able to take matters in hand, girls dig that ;)

I guess it's usually the boy who makes the first move, but there are exceptions. When me and my boyfriend kissed for the first time, we pretty much did it simultaneously, none of us made the move alone.

I dont think either the boy or the girl has to initiate first. I think that stuff is just in movies where the boys always does first

Many girls in my school think it's up to the boy.
Like they are little princesses awaiting that a prince shows her some attention...

I think the first "move" is on the the girls thoughts, and it shows in her eyes.

Then it is proper for the boy to make the first physical move.

When getting mixed signals, "may I kiss you?" Gets the interaction on the same page.

I prefer to be the one being kissed, whether it's initiated by a boy or (preferably) another girl. I can only think of one situation where I gave the first one but it wasn't any real surprise. I can give subtle or not so subtle hints that I'd like to be kissed.......

I dont think its a rule that the guy initiates it, its just the way it is. Though some girls are a little more aggressive and make the first move themselves.

My GF was aggressive with the first kiss and she just did it. We were on my seadoo and stopped to take a break and she just grabbed the back of my head and we kissed. Then I had to get in the water…..no joke. She laughed and said it was ok and wanted to see. LOL! That part was kind of embarrassing.
