Oooh. Third Doctor...probably. The Fourth is close too. Can't go wrong with Sarah Jane as the best companion. I kinda got turned off the new Doctor Who ones around about Matt Smith because it kinda felt like it was being intentionally quirky, trying to be too epic and just trying to be British kitsch. Like the old one has its quirks and campy British charm from being a low budget BBC show in the 70-80s. The new one kinda feels like it's forcing it. Might give it another go now Moffat is gone as the writer.

Ten and Donna were my favourites. They were like a comedy double act.

I've seen some of the classic show on Netflix and I also like 4 and Sarah-Jane as well as 5 and Tegan.

I've seen some old black and white episodes and Patrick Troughton wasn't bad. No-one has mentioned Peter Davidson yet, though he isn't my favourite.
Of the more recent ones, David Tennant was quite good. But I have to say I'm not really a big fan of Doctor Who which I reckon has now passed it's "sell-by" date.

I agree, I don't care much for Davidson's "Dandy Doctor" either. However I like him just a little bit more than Colin Baker's "Freakshow Doctor", who was next. xD

Challenge accepted :D

GOOD OMENS CREATORS CHALLENGE FANS TO FIND ALL THE DOCTOR WHO EASTER EGGS (https://www.syfy.com/syfywire/good-omens-doctor-who-easter-eggs)

Like the novel it's based on, Amazon's upcoming adaptation of Good Omens is a densely layered work that promises to require multiple viewings. For Doctor Who fans, that'll prove doubly true.

The issue came up during the Good Omens panel at SXSW, which included stars Michael Sheen, David Tennant, and Jon Hamm along with showrunner Neil Gaiman and series director Douglas Mackinnon. Near the end of the 90-minute conversation, moderated by Aisha Tyler, an interesting challenge was presented to potential viewers: Find all the Doctor Who easter eggs hidden throughout the show's six episodes.

"Not only do we have a Doctor Who, but there's about seven or eight easter eggs," Mackinnon told the crowd, which included SYFY WIRE.

Mackinnon was referring to Tennant, a former Doctor himself, who stars as the demon Crowley in Good Omens. Mackinnon himself has also directed a number Doctor Who episodes, implying that these references will be well hidden.

Gaiman, however, went a bit further and gave the first one away to help get everyone started.

"Jack Whitehall plays Newton Pulsifer, and the first time you see him going off to do a job he's about to be fired from, his tie is actually the fourth Doctor's scarf — really small, as a tie," Gaiman said, which drew gasps from the attendees.

"You know he must be an enormous Doctor Who fan, because he only owns one tie," Gaiman added with a chuckle.

The series is based on the novel co-written by Gaiman and the late Terry Pratchett, to whom the series will be dedicated. First released in 1990, it chronicles the coming apocalypse and how an angel and a demon (Sheen and Tennant, respectively) have to set aside their differences and come together to save existence as we know it.

Despite the rather grim-sounding premise, the limited series promises to bring some much-needed optimism to our current pop culture landscape. You can start tracking down these Doctor Who easter eggs for yourself when Good Omens premieres May 31 on Amazon.

I went through the first two seasons of the show and I am definitely in the "doesn't get it" group but FYI there are a couple old Dr. Who movies from the 60s on Turner Classic Movies tonight from when Peter Cushing, who was in a million old horror movies, was the doctor. I love horror movies but never knew he did Doctor Who.

Do you mean the original 1960s or the reboot from 2005? If you didn't like it maybe try skipping to when Matt Smith became the Doctor in 2010, from there it is more 'modern' I would say and less cheesy. Personally I love cheesy so no complaints from me.

Or you could even try straight from the newest Doctor :) Doctor Who changes a lot in style when new doctors and writers join
