I'm probably posting this as much for info and probably general questions as well, as I think some boys think this happens a puberty, when it probably happens before we're born and occasionally doesn't. NB BBC is a main news channel in the UK. It's about a two year old operated on the wrong one, when one of his balls hadn't descended

As they've damaged the healthy one, it's unlikely now he will not get sperm and have kids in the future,

I am curious, has anyone had issues from a young age? How were you told as you got older? Have you told friends?

That story is heartbreaking. That was horrible. I have a friend that had that but he had it fixed and both testicles are fine. I guess he was very lucky looking at that story.

Bad that it happened. Sounds grounds
for a huge lawsuit which would b the
logical thing to do.

What a mess! There is obviously no reason why his parents shouldn't sue for compensation on his behalf but that doesn't wind the clock back. That also leaves whoever is responsible for setting the level of compensation with a difficult task. Normally the minimum for a medical blunder would include ongoing care and adaptations needed for any resulting disability and, depending on how extensive the damage is he may need testosterone therapy to start puberty, and presumably from then on, but it's hard to put a value on children.

Huh, I was born with one undescended and had it fixed at 3 or so, poor kid.
