View Full Version : How important is muscles on a boy?

Just wondering about your take on this. To me, it's not a must when it comes to a relationship. It's a very nice bonus, and I'm happy to have a boyfriend with a hot body, but the inside matters the most. If I was to just have sex for fun, and nothing more, however, muscles would be everything.

Amuse me.

I like if he is fit, but I don't think I would like a really big guy. Athletic is my favourite type

I agree, if he's like the Michelin Man it's too much.

would be nice to date someone who was fit/into sports because im a really active person so... gym buddies!

But it’s not a deciding factor in dating. Personality matters way more than if you have abs or not

In my case it's not a must have in a relationship. Like I said, it's just a nice bonus. I can only speak for myself, however.

You say that now, but trust me, you notice if he starts getting that wandering eye in the gym. You either react two ways, you either swing with it and tease him about it and are comfortable in knowing he’s with you, OR it poisons the relationship with trust issues and insecurity on your part and relationship over.....A friend of mine had the latter experience, I was the third wheel advising her after the breakup.....rip being mutual friend of both parties.

Yeah abs are nice....don’t go full Hercules kid, but yeah those muscles will play into fantasies for sure if your a guy trying to advertise yourself in the sex appeal department.

I mean look at 2008-2011’s. Twilight craze and the millions of heartthrob reactions, we like abs especially since fit bodies are IN right now in terms of styles. A well maintained beard if pulled off right is also coming back in style.

If you are going to the trouble of having a bf he may as well be useful for lifting things

Nothing wrong with wanting a manly looking guy
All the androgynous pop stars like the one direction boys just leave you wondering if they are gay/straight etc they seem to emulate the feminine a bit much, it’s confusing

Mm my last relationship I noticed I personally don’t get jealous. Obviously if my partner is openly flirting or hitting on someone, or cheating on me then I would be mad. But with smaller things it’s like meh. I go to a boxing gym and there’s this couple who trains together. I’ve seen pics on Facebook going years back so idk if they’re married or not, but goals!! They’re both really good too! That’s the type of thing I would go for ^^ someone i can enjoy working out with, that doesn’t even mean romantic relationship Lol

Yeah, and the fitter both parties are the more endurance you have in the bedroom so that’s always a plus too...and that’s just health advice 101 there nothing too graphic goes for both sexes too.

being in shape helps? omg why don't teachers tell you, i'm sure we all would try much harder in sports
(maybe someone will know who said this - not in the exact same words - but i think it's true)

Good diet rich in nutrients helps too. Good heart health means more blood flow and oxygenated tissue and therefore stronger healthier nerves which means stronger electrochemical signals to and from the brain for more intense orgasm too. The rest is science on a psychological level regarding emotional subjectivity and classical and operant conditioning.

Sex is basically just science and the body is a machine.

Don’t get overwhelmed by the academic terminology I threw out.

It just means, listen to your partners, communicate honestly, and always act with empathy in all you do.

For yourself eat healthy, be smart, be safe, and be bold enough to have fun and enjoy yourself as an individual before you start valuing yourself in terms of what others think.

Other people’s criticisms of you are only valid when they’re calling you out for being mean or uncaring towards someone else and you don’t realize it and need an outside view of yourself. That’s the only time you should heed other people’s views of you.

Yeah it would be kind of a let-down if I had to do all the lifting because he can't manage. :P

I mean, it still wouldn't be a deal-breaker, but I'd probably try to make him come to the gym with me. xD
