Does anyone else have issues buffering YouTube videos? On my PC it will get stuck for up to three minutes trying to buffer something, at which point I use my phone because it buffers videos better. What can I do to fix this?

Either use another browser or try clearing your cache. Usually that fixes it, if not it might either be a connectivity problem with your computer or something wrong with YouTube itself.

I have not been having problems with YouTube. I think it's something on your part.

Install a plug-in called Youtube Center

What will it do?

YouTube center is plugin that affords more personalization on YT options. One of them is to manage how YT buffers videos. Modern buffering is in blocks where YT just loads some blocks, leaving the rest to load when you get closer to them. YT center has the option to revert to old buffering.

Oh, ok. Thanks!

Can't seem to get the extension on my browser (Opera). Any other ideas?

Just last few weeks we have noticed You Tube a bit sticky - but good advice clear cache and maybe check a help page for opera. Why not change browser.

Or just have another browser for You Tube.

I tried clearing my cache. It only helped a little at best. Opera the best browser for my PC as the others use too much RAM and are slow.

If your phone is using the mobile network rather than home internet it could be due to your home internet having a slow connection. The most common reasons for this are using up your allocated amount of data- in this case you will have to wait until the data is reset (depends on plan), the internet plan having a slow speed, other devices on the network preforming tasks that can slow it down e.g. online gaming, movie streaming,etc... or a long/decayed cable between the service provider and your house (I have this problem). If it is the latter there is not much you can do about it. Try running a speed test.

Do a Ping test with YouTube.com in your comand prompt. Then post the resalts here. If you have a slow connection with your computer that could be the main caulprit. But as they said it could be your catch. Try to completely uninstall the web browser the re install

To those who recommended YouTube Center, thanks a lot. Using Firefox and have installed with DASH playback off so it buffers the full video. Thanks a lot :)

It's probably your Internet connection
