Hi guys, I'm just wondering what you all do during showers, etc to clean your penis. It sometimes seems hard to keep it clean. What I do is pull back my foreskin all the way and rub soap all around it, then I put soap on my balls. It seem s to clean better if i'm hard lol, I think it might be because the skin's stretched out more.

I just wash my penis every time I shower with soap and water. If I use lotion after showering I'll rub it on my penis as well.

I just use the same shower gel that I use on the rest of my body. It's not strong. I do use a lotion or cream sometimes.

I use a washcloth with bodywash on it. I pull back my foreskin and wash there and then scrub up dick and balls and then do my butt.

I honestly stroke it to get it hard cause it tends to be easier to clean. Then I use soap and water. I have pretty thick pubes and a hairy sac, so I kinda run my fingers through that before I wash it all lff

Is your skin sensitive? What kind of soap do you use? I always use regular shower gel or soap and it never irritates me.

Basically, this is the same way that I clean my myself. I do it when I shower.

I'm assuming your question was meant for uncut guys? But if it was meant for any guy, I just use soap and water like the rest of my body. This is probably one of the few, or only, advantages to being circumcised.

Not really, as far as I know most uncut guys do clean under the foreskin with soap.

Then again not really, unless you use strong soaps with perfume and whatnot. Pure soaps shouldn't be irritating unless your penis head is over sensitive. Besides, chances are you will smell when pulling the skin back.

If you're still having issues, you can check with your doc. It may just need time. I hope you don't have any other issues

If i use soap, I will likely accidentally get some in my urethral opening. And if I do so, and then pee after showering, it will feel very irritating, but it will stop irritating if I wait like 20 minutes afterwards. And the soap that my mom buys often has low pH level, which makes it irritating if I get it in a cut or in my eyes.

Interesting. It would be interesting to know more about what the typical pH of commercial soaps is. I know they are made by combining an alkali with a fat but I think fat is generally acid so they may end up nearly neutral.

Then most liquid "soaps" including shower gel and shampoo are more correctly detergents with the active ingredient generally being sodium laureth sulfate. This is a mild irritant so it is as well not to overuse it.

So for the area under my foreskin I just pull the skin back, let the spray wash away anything there and let the foreskin go forward again. The outside I wash just the same as the rest of me, with shower gel and rinse off.

yeah for sure. easier to clean when hard. I clean under my foreskin when soft though, just cause it's easier for me. soap, and then body wash for the rest of my body
