Logic dictates that someone with high IQ should be more in control of sex drive, but does there any exceptions?:D

I'm unaware of any studies, reports or peer-reviewed articles to support your hypothesis. Can you please cite your references? Sex drive and IQ as it relates to logic and reasoning skills operate from different parts of the brain.

what would a high IQ have to do with controlling hormones? This doesn't make any sense at all.

Logic doesn't dictate that at all.
Logic dictates that IQ and being able to control hormones are not connected in any way.

Gay Paul,
You asked an interesting question, but I can't see how the two can be connected. A sex drive is a built-in, primitive need which doesn't depend on intelligence.
However, if you've got a high I.Q., it's just possible that you might be more aware or even worried about your sexual needs, and try a bit harder to control them. Having said that, I very much doubt if that could ever be proven.

If you were really as intelligent as you say you are, you would know what you're asking is quite silly

I've found this article, although I didn't have time to look for any research in this field yet. I might come back later https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/articles/201107/sex-intelligent-intercourse

I don't think it makes any sense. It's just as with serial killers - some are pretty dumb, but most actually are very smart and have a high IQ.
Just because you are more intelligent (but does IQ really even properly evaluates intelligence?) doesn't make you any more free from primitive instincts. It just means you'll likely be more clever than others at finding ways to satisfy those instincts, and thus get more opportunities, more influence, more money, or more tricks to be able to fullfill them.

It was just a random thought, we supposed to be evolved yet we still succumb to primitive ungodly instincts :D

It's an interesting question. My understanding is that hormones act on the core part of the brain, the older bit in evolutionary terms, the bit that is shared with less intelligent mammals and looks after such things as homeostasis and instinct.
It's very hard for your higher, conscious brain to overrule this more primitive part. You cannot, at least most people cannot, hold your breath until you pass out. That part of your brain allows your conscious brain some control over your breathing, so that you can speak and sing, for example, but not in a way that is dangerous to your survival.
The sex drive is right in there with these other things. It is much easier to direct it in a way that is socially acceptable, such as doing sexual things in private, and waiting for suitable moment, than it is to suppress it.
Yet, the view persists that sex is for those who have not experienced the joy of more intellectual pursuits. I can think of a couple of song references for example "One Night in Bankok" with the line "I get my kicks above the waistline" and another "...smoke and drink and screw because there fuck all else to do!".
There may be something to the last on of these, though. How horny you have to be to respond to it does, I think, depend to a certain extent on what other options you have to occupy your attention. If there's something you're really interested in you would need to be hornier to stop doing that and respond to being horny than if you were bored stiff. So that goes back to people thinking that because people in mental institutions masturbated probably more than those on the outside that it must be a sign something is wrong (with masturbation) whereas in fact the inside of mental hospital is probably a mind numbing bore and masturbating is one of the few things the inmates can do to give their brain some stimulation.
So, don't see it as a fight between different parts of your brain. If you have "thinking" pusuits you enjoy then pursue them whenever your in the mood to but don't be alarmed if your sometimes in the mood for somethings sexual instead.

I really doubt that. I'm pretty sure that there are people with low IQ who manage to keep it in their pants, and geniuses who are horny 24/7.

To be able to have full control over your sex drive you should have to be able to control a lot of things in your body that you don't think about. Nobody can do something like this, you would go nuts, it would be like always remembering to breathe, or to make your heart pump blood, or control your hormone secretion. It's just crazy.

I think it's the opposite. The smart people with high IQs are out in the world making a difference, The idiots breed like rabbits! Lol

If you believe you've noticed that trend it may not be about sex drive. Perhaps the idiots are too idiotic to use contraception. One could have a high sex drive, and few children, by using contraception and have a low sex drive, but never use contraception, and end up with loads of children.

People with high IQ have the ability to think. As in think about more important things than sex. That's the way I understand it :P

I wouldn’t think that having a high sex drive necessarily means that you are good at sex. I hope no one is confusing the two

If logic dictates this as you proposes it does, there should be a number of scientific studies to prove this. Maybe there are. I have not come across such studies in my research for my psychology program.

So, in my opinion... While you may not be "more in control" , people with a higher IQ tend to analyze things more. Given specific scenario(s): Boy is horny = What caused this sudden onset or continuous circumstance. //// Boy is horny = because boy is horny (duhh lol) While IQ doesn't determine "control" , it certainly impacts thought processes and how you may act on something. However, this does not dictate when/how you have the experience, it merely leads to a different perspective in regard to the situation.
Don't know if this really answered your question, gave it my best shot though...
