Peeing the bed in relation to puberty

Recently I was talking to someone about how we peed the bed as children, and found that we both stopped at around the same time puberty started, me being about 11

Are peeing the bed and puberty corellated?

Did you pee the bed as a child?
What measures did you take to prevent messes on the bed?
What age did it stop?
How close to the start of puberty?

Bed wetting and puberty are not related. If you are wetting the bed at puberty age then you have a medical type problem nothing to do with puberty.

What measures did you take to prevent messes on the bed? All it needs is a waterproof cover for the mattress. Then you just have to wash the sheet and pyjamas but the mattress is fine. But you can also get things called drynites which are pullups and they are great for sleepovers.
What age did it stop? It hasn't stopped yet but it probably will soon the same as my mum.
How close to the start of puberty? I've started puberty already, but bedwetting is nothing to do with puberty. It's just something that you stop doing sometime, but some of us stop later than others. I'm 14 and plenty of people my age like 2% or so do it.

They are not related at all. My 22 year old sister has to wear those overnight diapers because she frequently wets the bed, and it's a known medical issue. She says she reached puberty about 10 years ago and that didn't make any difference in her bed wetting incidents.

As far as I know, the two are not related. And wetting the bed can start and stop at any age without puberty being involved.

Personally, I stopped wetting the bed at around 4 years old. But there is no rule and nothing to worry about however long it goes on, unless you believe you have some kind of medical or psychological problem.

I used to wet the bed sometimes and I sometimes wore drynites until I was 12. I think some people do grow out of it at puberty but I don't think it's always related.

No they are not related. Bed wetting at an older age can be a medical issue.

Did you pee the bed as a child?yes - till after 6 i started to do it on purpose cus i didnt want to get out of bed
What measures did you take to prevent messes on the bed? i wore nappies which i did pee in on purpose cus i couldnt be bothered to get out of bed especially in the winter and i was scared of the dark
What age did it stop? well i stopped peeing the bed by accident at like 5 but on purpose i stopped at like 10
How close to the start of puberty? well i havent really started puberty yet so cant answer that

i used to wet the bed when i was younger. i had to put a disposable plastic pad down and had to sleep naked on top of it every night (so i didnt wet PJs) then my Dr stepped in and gave me meds to help regulate my kidney function. The meds helped me stop but it was before i started puberty

No it doesn't help to do that. It's not related to puberty or anything else like that. It's to do with the bladder not always sending a wake up signal to the brain and just deciding to empty itself.

I have been told bed wetting will stop when my bladder muscles get stronger which I was hoping would happen when puberty starts but most people here think its not connected to puberty so I dont know.
