For a year now, I've been getting these random very painful headaches and pains that will last for large periods of time. I have no clue what is causing them and I've been having more of them often. Can anyone relate or know how to get rid of these or at least know what's causing them?

I had these, I went to the doctor, which you should probably do, and they will most likely send you to get an MRI scan and possibly an EEG if there's a possibility that you have epilepsy - not likely if you just have headaches. Mine turned out to be just migraines and a sensory integration disorder (which is treatable). But if it's just the headaches you're probably just very prone to migraines and headaches - lying down in a dark room can help. And the doctors will be very honest with you, so if you get sent for an MRI don't be alarmed it's just one of those things they have to do anyway even if they're 100% sure there's nothing wrong.

Well I hope you can get help with this - see a doc maybe.
I just had one friend with bad headaches and it was her glasses so do you wear glasses or have contacts - but anyways I hope you get all fixed soon.

Yes, I have glasses. I had found my headaches were really bad when I didn't have glasses but when I first got them it didn't really change anything besides my sight.

I would go to the doctor, but my parents wont believe me when i say that there bad headaches. They wont do anything about them, and none of the medicine we have works on the headaches. Idk what to do.....thank you though for your knowledge, I really appreciate it.

No, usually painkillers don't work for me either. Here's some things I find helpful. If you're desperate they're worth a try, you've got nothing to lose.
-> Place an ice pack (or towel soaked in cold water) on the part of your head that hurts the most. Try putting ice on the back of your neck as well. A lot of the tension in your head can actually come from your neck.
-> If cold doesn't help, try a towel soaked in warm/hot water.
-> Take a hot bath.
-> Take a nap (preferably in a dark room).
-> Apply gentle pressure to the part of your head that's sore, e.g. if your pain is in your temples, use your fingertips to rub small circles lightly on each side of your head.
-> Drinking peppermint tea often helps ease the headache, chamomile and lavender can help too but to a lesser extent.
-> Rest your eyes regularly, e.g. take a 10 min break from computer/TV screens etc every hour. Tension headaches are often caused by eye fatigue.
Place wet teabags on your eyelids for 5 minutes.
-> Avoid sugar as much as possible. I guarantee you sugar will make headaches worse.
-> Drink lots of water, headaches are often caused by dehydration.
-> Breathe slowly and deeply. Inhale slowly over 8 counts, pause, and then exhale over 8 counts; repeat for at least a minute (increases oxygen to the brain).
Hope this helps :) Sometimes with migraines and headaches there's just no getting rid of them. In that case I'm afraid you'll just have to suffer on, but the suggestions should help to ease them a little at least.
