Why or why not? I would have said yes before I joined vt. But I've learned from others on here that there is really no justifiable reason to do it. Plus, it's his body so he can make the decision himself at some point.

No, I would not circumcise my son.
Same as above. I don't believe in removing a part of a person's genitalia at birth. If they want to get circumcised later in life, that's their choice.

Why or why not? Religious reasons, personally think the health benefits are bs, greater risks than benefits and if the benefit was aesthetic reasons then just retract at all times. Also once its gone you can never get it back

I'm intact and I'd leave any son of mine the same way. If he wanted to be circumcised when he is old enough to make that decision that's up to him. His body, his choice. Most UK guys are uncut, it was rare to see a circumcised penis in the school showers.

I'm uncut and I like it that way. I would not circumcise a son, not because I think there is anything wrong with being cut, but because it is his body and, if left uncut, he can always get cut later if that is what he wants whereas if he gets cut when he is too young to understand and later wishes he was not cut, it cannot be completely undone. He should get to make the decision about his own body.

Why or why not? Because it is his body and his choice. I am cut and I don't like it. It causes loss of a lot of sensitivity, glans irritation, and other things. The only con is hygiene, which isn't a problem if you wash everyday (which cut guys should be doing too already).

Probably not.
I am cut but not for religion or family tradition.
I was old enough to know it was very different (and feel a bit embarrassed as most uk boys aren't) but not old enough to feel cheated that it was gone.
It works fine as it is so no big deal to me one way or another.
If its not necessary don't do it.

Why or why not? Because I would want him to have the choice later, but I think with proper care it's usually unnecessary. In certain medical situations it's obviously the only answer but that would be the only reason I would see it as imperative.

Why or why not? It’s more common in the US, plus it would avoid later problems that could happen with the foreskin (it not pulling back etc.) All my family is, most of my friends are, and it’s kind of natural that I would just continue that.

I was born in the southern central part of the US and I was circumcised as a baby. My dad and my younger brother are also circumcised. The handful of other boys that I've seen naked they were also circumcised. It's my understanding that most boys born around here are circumcised. You almost have to request NOT to be circumcised because its so common around here. I like being circumcised. It is cleaner, easier to maintain, don't have to retract foreskin to pee or have sex and don't have to deal with having tight foreskin issues, and stuff like that. If I have sons, I would have them circumcised as babies. There are fewer risks and recovery is easier and faster when done as a baby then as a teen or adult.

Personally, I'm not cut so I have no idea what it's like. Sometimes I wish I was cut just so my dick didn't look weird (I know, sounds kinda strange to say!) but I would really have to weigh the pros and cons of it before I made a decision. I think currently, I would not have my son cut because having him cut would make it harder for him to jack off, haha! (pretty sure he'd thank me later) :D

well considering I jack off on a daily basis I know how important the foreskin is in jacking off! honestly it makes your orgasm so much better because you have the foreskin to stimulate all the sensitive nerves in the head of your penis. maybe it's just me but I can't think of any way to get as good of an orgasm if you were circumcised!

I"m not gonna get into a debate about whether masturbating with or without a foreskin is better, but consider this possibility: without a foreskin, you get to stimulate all the sensitive nerves in the head of the penis directly, rather than through the foreskin, which provides no erotic feelings itself.

I was circumcised as a teen so I’ve experienced both. The foreskin provides an extreme amount of stimulation and in itself stimulates the nerves you’re talking about, by pulling the skin back you also expose the areas you mention.
Once you’re cut the sensitivity begins to reduce over time. Without a doubt masterbating uncut feels better than cut. ( I had no choice but to be circumcised so I’m fine with it and wanking is still pleasurable but certainly different)

You're talking about one experience; that's not a valid basis for drawing a conclusion.
In addition, there's a big difference between being circumcised as a baby and having it done as a teen.
I'm unaware of any legit evidence that once you're cut, the sensitivity reduces over time. In fact, you're the first one I've heard that from. It may have to do with you being cut after your foreskin has fully developed.
I don't care if someone is cut or not, but people generally support whatever they are, for mostly weak reasons.
And girls should have NO say in male circumcision what. so. ever.

That makes sense, though aside from third hand stories, I've rarely heard of someone being upset about it. I've heard of a couple "weird lawsuit" stories where guys have sued their parents, but in those cases, they had a strained relationship to being with.

You probably live somewhere (US maybe?) where being circumcised is the norm and to be anything else is seen as unclean , unhygienic , ugly etc etc I know a few people who absolutely hate being circumcised. I know one guy who hates his father for allowing it to be done to him.
It’s an outdated, unnecessary barbaric procedure when done on an infant. Their body, their choice. Nobody has the right to inflict a body modification purely for aesthetic reasons on a baby. This bollocks about they won’t remember it makes my blood boil. Who in their right mind would want to inflict even a second of pain or discomfort in their innocent newborn?

Yes I’m talking about one experience MY OWN.
There’s plenty of evidence to show it reduces sensitivity. Ask an uncut guy how sensitive his glans is when it’s exposed. If it rubs against anything!! When circumcised the glans kertanises. Depending on where the sat is some guys lose inner skin too. If you’ve been cut all your life you won’t have any clue of the sensitivity you lose.

I'm not going to have a conversation with someone who starts out referring to it as barbaric. That tells me all I need to know about their open-mindedness. And I wouldn't want to be responsible for making your blood boil. Another sign any attempt on my part to have an intelligent conversation about this would be a waste.
I will say this: Yes, I'm originally from the USA, but I've never heard that being uncircumcised is "unclean , unhygienic , ugly." Even in the boys' locker room, where no one holds back on comments, I've not heard that.

There is no point in me replying as to why he hates his parents for what they did when you say you don’t want a conversation because you feel my views on barbarism aren’t worthy.
I’m sorry you feel an innocent child being strapped down, sometimes only hours old. Then having his foreskin forcibly retracted whilst still adhered to the glans then a cold piece of metal forced behind the foreskin before being clamped and ultimately cut away. Often and usually without anaesthetic, but if you’re happy with that .. hey it’s your child .. ( videos available on line ).
If you’ve never heard people discussing uncut as described above feel free to trawl VT I’m sure you’ll find many many many examples ..
ultimately I’d personally prefer to leave any child of mine to live with the body they are born with , without the need to change it for absolutely no reason .. if later they want to .. I’ll support them whole hearted .. hey I’ll even pay for it.

Yes, I don't think it's worth my time to discuss the issue with someone who starts off with the view that it's barbarism and yes, I'm familiar with what circumcision involves and yes, I'm fine with it being done.
Unlike you, I'm open-minded enough to also accept that some people are not fine with it being performed. And that's ok.
btw: no baby is 'strapped down' for a circumcision and the foreskin is NOT adhered to the glans; it moves freely, but your fictitious description of it I'm sure makes some people uncomfortable...obviously the intention of your false facts.

btw: no baby is 'strapped down' for a circumcision and the foreskin is NOT adhered to the glans; it moves freely, but your fictitious description of it I'm sure makes some people uncomfortable...obviously the intention of your false facts.
I think you need to educate yourself before responding. Google circumstraint. It’s a plastic body shaped base with straps for the arms and legs https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=circumstraint&client=safari&hl=en-gb&prmd=ismvn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjmva7qnebiAhUWSRUIHSRlBkgQ_AUoAXoECAwQAQ&biw=375&bih=635#imgrc=76kYD9CipcqDzM and yes the foreskin is adhered to the glans on an infant and does not move freely. Why do you think some cut guys get skin bridges?
This is taken from Seattle Children’s Hospital website
What You Should Know About the Foreskin:
At birth, the foreskin is attached to the head of the penis (glans). It is attached by a layer of cells.
Over time, the foreskin will separate from the head of the penis. This is a natural process and occurs over 5 to 10 years. It slowly loosens up (retracts) a little at a time.
Normal erections during childhood cause most of the change by stretching the foreskin.
If your boy has a normal urine stream, any foreskin movement is normal.
There should be no rush to achieve full retraction. This always occurs on its own by puberty.
Here is some care advice that should help.

Circumcised
Yes
Cause it looks better and cleaner and everyone makes fun of the uncircumcised guys at my school, and girls avoid them so i wouldnt want my son to experience that growing up

For uncircumcised boys:
Would you circumcise your son? I wouldn't
Why or why not? I wouldn't because the head of the penis just keeps sencitive and it gives more pleasure and it is just more aesthetic.:)

For circumcised boys:
Would you circumcise your son? NEVER.
Why or why not? It's a mutilation of the genitals. It destroys nerves, looks, sensitivity, and is completely pointless. If someone WANTS to get cut and willingly decides to then so be it, but I know I didn't ask to be cut.
Will..

For uncircumcised boys:

Yes, I would.
Why? Because most of the boys here are that way and I wouldn't want him to feel odd or out of place because of that; whether he ends gay or straight. Also, my religion prefers it. I think it looks better and I've heard cleanliness can be a chore. I've heard the arguments for an against it, and how you're making a choice for someone that can't, but that's a lame excuse. There's alot of things that were done for where I would have liked to have had a say but didn't or couldn't.

For circumcised boys:
Would you circumcise your sons? I would circumcise one and not circumcise the other
Why? Because when I was at a water park a couple of years ago before I got circumcised due to phimosis I saw a father who had 1 of his kids circumcised and the other not. I would do this to see what it would be like out of curiosity like an experiment to see the pros and cons of growing up.

I would have him uncut because it is more natural and it's not really a religios thing to me, it's his choice not mine

Intact.
His body, his choice.
There is absolute zero medical reason to do it at birth. Every "yes" reason has been proven false.
