What do girls think of guys asking them out?

So I have a "crush" right now and I even sit next to her, but I can't seem to get a word out of my mouth around her. This has happened before as well, where I sat next to a pretty girl but I just couldn't say anything to her or I would wait for her to ask me something (which she actually did, I was very pissed at myself for not talking to her more). I am always so afraid of what people (mostly girls) think of me. This may sound weird or selfish but I want a girl in my life, I don't have any sort of relationship with one besides my mom and sister.
So I'm here to ask: do you girls appreciate a boy talking to you or even starting a conversation with you? Do you think it's creepy?
I am just trying to get a clue, I have always been so shy around pretty girls and have never gotten the willpower to talk to any of them. I have never been on a date, I don't have any girls #, I just kinda want to be more social and what not.

Do you find that it happens with all girls, or just those on whom you have a crush? If you're just shy around crushes, try talking to your female friends more and then try to pretend that you're just talking to them when you're really talking to a crush. If you're shy around all girls, try this, but with your guy friends then transition to girls, and then to crushes. Good luck. Well there's a difference between asking someone out and just talking to someone. I have to say in my experience girls don't tend to think boys who talk to them are creepy or annoying but all girls are different and think differently. I personally would like it if a boy started talking to me randomly by asking how I was or whatever. I mean yes it could get creepy if the boy got clingy and literally spoke to me at every opportunity but just once every so often or when it seemed natural and appropriate then yes. I know it's easy to get shy, us girls also get shy around guys we think are nice looking too :whoops: .

Trust me, most girls don't bite and the ones that do ain't worth the hassle :)
