Does it feel different to you if you masturbate while standing up versus sitting versus laying down? Most of the time I'd say I'm laying back in my bed while I'm doing it, or sitting at my desk if I'm watching some porn on the computer. I'd agree that it's different when I'm standing than laying or sitting. I guess that's because you're not supporting your body at the time of orgasm and your legs get a bit weak.
