I find I am in the minority when I change and shower openly after gym in high school since I don't want to stink. Why do u think guys don't change or shower for those who don't or guys u know? Is is because they are late in developing, afraid of having a boner, afraid of someone making a comment about their bodies or something else?

I'm guessing for a lot of guys it's about feeling awkward being naked in front of all the guys in their class. Maybe some are afraid they'll get a boner, some are probably worried they look really small or whatever. I shower because I don't feel like getting my clothes all sweaty. You kinda get used to it, like being naked around guys, and then it's not really a big deal.

It really shouldn't matter why a person chooses (or chooses not) to do anything! It's their decision. That said, I do wonder why people make their decisions. I'm naturally curious. I do think some are afraid to show what they have. A do feel like there are some who are worried they will get hard (not as many imo). Probably most just don't want to shower - some people are lazy af! But like I said it doesn't really bother me as long as the guy next to me in class doesn't smell. Most people in my gym classes never worked up a sweat. I know i never did! But deoderant always was enough for me (and them). Team sports is another story! I always shower after practice (well 70% of the time) and most my teammates do. I had some teammates in the past who showered with shorts on. Even seniors. Its their choice. No big deal. Even if I personally think it's weird af.

So showering is optional in my school and back in 5th grade only maybe 60% of us boys showered but it got more and more over the years and now everyone is doing it.
I think it took some of them so long for multiple reasons like being shy, underdeveloped, or afraid or an erection. Personally, I think it should be mandatory.

We have had to shower after gym class since 5th grade. At first I don’t mi d it so much, but freshman year, I do not like it because I don’t know as many people and I’m underdeveloped.

mandatory to shower after PE. I don't mind if boys see me naked, prefer being clean

Idk or remember if we did have to shower
as 5th graders. Do grade schoolers stink or
think they do and worry bout erections?

We had to shower after PE. I would guess that a lot of guys are just overly modest. I don't really understand why it bothers people so much. It's never been a big deal to me. I don't really care if anyone sees me naked, guys or girls.

We didn't shower in 5th grade, started in 6th. I didn't worry about erections and never saw one or heard anyone even talk about getting one. Don't think any of us started puberty yet back then. We have started this year LOL have seen more than a couple erections and I've gotten 2 so far

Nude showers are required after p.e here. Coaches make sure we all take them.

It was interesting 7th and 8th grade lockers
seeing all the different changes in ur friends
bodies and feeling somewhat insecure at times.
In 6th grade guys walked around naked and it
didn't matter cause we didn't give it a second
thought.

Only two guys shower from our class. It's not necessary and I guess the rest of us are just shy and lazy.

It is mandatory at our school. But, others may feel uncomfortable because their family told them to hide their nudity. Some people fear that the whole world is bad and wanting to do bad things. Some may feel that they are not as developed, but they need to realize that everyone develops differently.. That is easier to say than for others to understand.

No one really uses the shower in my school except for any of our sports teams because of lack of time. There are some guys in my school who don’t change clothes even in summer lol

I've brought up the topic on my classroom, we once talked on what if we had locker rooms and everyone agreed that it would be horrible
I think (at least where I am), it is seen as wrong to see someone even in underwear.
As of me, I've been wearing hoodies or long sleeve shirts and high socks for my entire middle/high school so noone has actually seen my arms/legs, I'm a shy person and uncomfortable with my body.
I actually think that if they added locker rooms to my school, I would leave

In my school you aren't allowed to shower after PE unless you have swimming, then you have to. But my PE classes are 50 minutes long, there just isn't enough time. Also if you go to an after-school sports club I would suppose you shower after that also, also if you have PE before interval, lunch or the end of the day you could take a shower

Yeah. Same as the secondary school I attend. It's gross and the "jocks" must think Axe is a shower in a can.

We have to shower after PE on most days. I absolutely hate it but have no choice and everybody has to do it anyway.

Well at my school (I live in Australia) there are only 6 showers (stalls) at the back of the change rooms (only one lot of change rooms) which are open.
If your lucky, or you just wait around you can have a shower but that would only be doable if you have a break or it’s the end of the day because there isn’t enough time between classes.
The only set uniform for sport is our coloured sport shirt, no specific shorts or underwear so the only time you are getting naked is if we have just done swimming (even then the people aren’t open about it and usually change under a towel).

Showers aren't a requirement for us but most of the guys do. We already have to get naked when we change, because we are supposed to wear jock straps. So at that point, you're naked already so why not get cleaned off.

It's all kinda awkward at first but once you do it the first time, it's gotten easier.

A lot of guys lack confidence because we all believe in this fake ideal of having the perfect sculpted body with a huge dick. Or they're just homophobic.

we have to after school sports. since i'm on basketball and swim team outside school too, i'm used to it. nothing to it really and i know i'm far from the only one who looks around
can be embarressing for sure, especially when you rise down there, but you can always grab a towel or something if that happens

showering became mandatory in high school. In reality it should have started in junior high (we did for sports in junior high). I would have hated stinking and being sweaty all day, esp if I had pe/weight lifting in the morning.
