I have my phone with me all the time too but using it when talking with someone or eating together etc. is super disrespectful so I'd never do that and therefore have never been told to put it away.

My parents really only get onto me about it if I'm playing it at an inappropriate time, or if I've been playing for hours straight.

My dad really used to be like that, but now he is just as bad sometimes. Same with his games console. Now it’s just the occasional “do you remember what life was like before you had a phone? well, i’m just as bad”

I use my phone pretty often. I don’t use it when I’m eating with family or when talking to someone (read: important), and I never used it at work (when I did work).
My dad does tell me to put my phone away when I’m using it before bed, or as I’m going to bed, but it doesn’t matter because I get up in the mornings with no complaints anyway.

No, actually I'm the one to nag my parents to get off their phones when we're, say, in a restaurant waiting for our food. They never make any remarks to me because one, they don't care how late I'm on my phone, and two, I rarely take it out when I'm doing stuff with other people, I just find it rude.

They have but mostly when I’m on it when we’re all together. So we made a rule. When we’re all together or if family time, phones go off so we can chill together. It actually works, and I have a better time with them to

I often was told finally to get a phone or wish one, but I resisted, until I went on exchange. Since then no one said, "put it away". Because my mobilr doesn't stick to my fingers and is often off.

Mom usually tells me when it is time to help her make supper, or anything out she may needs help with. Other than that she doesn't give me a hard time.

I've been told to put it away when I was younger, but now I have a pretty good idea about when it's okay or not to fiddle around with the phone, so I don't hear it as much anymore.

Everyone in my family uses their phone a lot.. I guess it's just no phone when we are eating, but that's about it

I try not to give them a reason to say it. I'm always present when someone wants to talk to me. So the phone is not an issue

A major operator in the UK (O2) had a major issue knocking out everyone (data and voice) on their network recently. What a panic it caused!

If I'm chatting with my parents or someone else, or meeting someone or whatever, I don't like to use my phone, is just rude.

My parents often tell me "again on your phone?? "
I'm often on it, but I'm not allowed when we are eating or doing stuff with my family, or when we go out. Nor when I'm doing my homework, but this one... :D

I don't remeber a time in my life when I didn't have my iphone. My parents don't care if I have it at the dinner table. They check their phone more than me.
