It did to me when I was first starting my periods, they weren't regular at all for the first several times. At age 13 it may not be a concern unless you've already been having regular periods for a couple of years. Def worth asking a doctor about if you don't have one in another few weeks, I wouldn't let it go beyond that.

You're only 13 and I'm not sure when you began puberty or started having periods so it could be that you're just not experiencing regular periods yet. You also don't state whether or not you're sexually active or not. If you are, it could be a sign that you're pregnant. Also, are you active in any sports? Being very active can interrupt your periods especially if you're losing lots of weight and not getting enough rest and nutrition. When I first started having periods, they were irregular and then as I got older they were more regular. After being on birth control, my periods not only started and stopped like clockwork, but they were shortened to only about two to three days. So, if you just started getting your periods and you are not sexually active, please don't worry. If on the other hand your periods were normal and regular before and you are sexually active, I'd recommend you get a pregnancy test.

Playing sports could do it. Also being 13, it's possible you're still not regular yet. Apart from the annoyance of not knowing when it's going to come, I think you're probably fine. But if you are worried about it or you don't get it again in the next couple of months, tell someone or see your doctor.

Hiya, With you being 13 us not knowing when you period actually started and overall how your periods have been up to now it's very hard to give you a straight answer.
I started at around 14 but they were not really regular to around 16. As everyone is different there's no golden rule to when you start and when how long it takes for your period to settle down and become more regular. But at the same time if you're worried that your overdue your period for no reason that you know off, and that it's been longer than your happy with you should see your Doctor and even talk yo your mum or someone else you can trust. It's better to be safe than sorry.
Hope all goes well.

This used to happen to me as well, but I went to the Dr and they put me on BC pills to get me regular.

Mine are all over the place. I'm still recovering from a traumatic injury. My BMI got super low in the process, and they just stopped for months. Now, it's anywhere from about 5 weeks to 9 weeks. Gaining weight has had a positive effect though.
