Hi

My friend had an operation at hospital and for some reason they had to shave all his leg, pubes and bum hair off.

Any ideas why. It was quite a shock when he woke up

I would guess that the surgery involved opening the abdomen area. It is for sterile reasons I am sure.

Ya I had my appendix taken out when I was 15. It's for sterile reasons. They don't shave you bald, just as low as they need to. But they don't do a great job. They go real low (almost to the shaft) but they don't touch the balls. And obv they didn't touch my legs or butt (well my butt and legs aren't hairy, but I assume they don't need to for an appendix, especially if they didn't shave my balls). But it's weird when the pubes grows back since they are differernt heights. Worst part about the whole thing was my soccer teammate's mom was the nurse who shaved my pubes! She's a neighbor too!

They shaved the grass and let the tree stand.

I don't remember. Even seeing Kyle's mom is blurry. I can't remember if I saw her before or after they gave me anesthesia. Probably before. They probably shave you, then put you under, then do surgery. But with so much anesthesia it get fuzzy. I just remember seeing her and it was nice to recognize a happy, familiar face but then she explained what was happening and I got slightly embarrassed but there was nothing I could do obv. Next thing I remember was waking up in the hospital room. Groggy and in pain. I didn't even remember it all until later when I had a chance to look under my hospital gown at my scar and at my lack of pubes. It's embarrassing seeing her but I know she has seen thousands. I'm sure it didn't move or get hard. Not with all my nerves about the operation and the pain I was having with the appendix minutes away from rupturing.

They shaved the grass and let the tree stand.

Hahahaha

It's for sanitary reasons, as well to make incisions and later repair at those sites easier I would imagine.

To help get the area sterile for the surgery. What kind of surgery did he have?
