Masturbating is totally normal, and it is something nearly all guys do. What can be bad about masturbation is if it takes over your life or you are not being responsible with your body.

If your religion prohibits masturbation, and if you are very religious, then you have to follow what you are taught. Unfortunately, no matter what we tell you about masturbation being normal and that there is nothing wrong with it is going to change what your religion teaches you.

If this means anything, there are a lot of grey areas when it comes to religion, and I doubt the prohibition on masturbating is going to be a high priority for it unlike say murder, rape, lying, etc. I guess if it helps you, then you can masturbate and pray for forgiveness if you honestly feel the need to do so?

Masturbating is totally normal, most people do it or have done it. If your religion goes against it then it’s your choice, i would recommend it, but in the end it’s your choice

There's no such thing as 'not normal' when it comes to masturbation. If you don't wanna jerk, you don't wanna and that's perfectly fine. If you ever feel curious, feel free to see if you like it. No one can tell you what you can and can't do with your body.
