When i look on older and bigger threads there are so many banned users. Why do most people get banned?

They constantly break the rules.

I think a lot of those are fake/extra accounts.
Some from users who want an extra identity or from banned usurers who keep trying to come back.
Also users not behaving themselves in PM and Chat and chronic rule breakers.
Generally people who are up to no good one way or another.

Well we have; Overage, camming, rule breaking in general, fake accounts, bots, advertisers, too many infractions, so on and so forth.

What's overage?
Joining over the age of 19.
From the FAQ: If you are over 19 at the time of registration, your account will be terminated without question.

I feel that this well put together and informative video will answer your question in the best possible way.

Okay, all jokes aside, it's people breaking the PM rules, sending nudes, racking up infractions by double posting, spamming, etc. etc. There's also the people that create secondary accounts.

I've been wondering this a lot myself. Good to know.
I was so worried I'D get banned for the longest time :P

Oh, over age. I thought 'overage' meant like too many members haha. Thanks.

That and the fact, they've probably never deleted accounts since the site was created, so the number of banned users will just grow.

They delete accounts on rare occasions.

No I don't believe any are, they are just banned, if anything they delete posts that were the cause of said banned, but never actually delete the accounts, unless you are referring to like bots, advertisers, those accounts, then I'm not sure.

I was wondering what the minimum time of being banned is?

I think a ban stays in effect until appealed.

I also notice that this website is aplace full of loving people where you safely talk about anything, and there are surprisingly few jerks. I guess all the people we don't want just get banned

Yup, that's what I thought, too...

85% of the accounts with zero posts displayed are those who are either bots or those who have came here for the soul purpose of camming/soliciting.

Tis true. I have found this to be a very safe haven personally.

About Overage, are you allowed to continue using your account when you turn 20?

Yes, as long as you're using the site in an appropriate manner you can stay past 20.

We are all teenagers and get tempted easily. But we should control ourselves.
That's where some didn't abide.

There are still deleted accounts. :P
With 75,000 + accounts, there's bound to be a few banned. Well. 103,254 registered accounts. 76,504 not-banned. That means 26,750 are banned. As of 15:00 15/04/14. I'd like to know (in numbers :P) what the most common general ban reason is, though my educated guess would be cammers or spambots.

Same here. Not really specifics, but even a pie chart that would show something like 20% used abusive language, 15% posted illegal links 8% for continual minor rule breaking. It may help new users to focus on the specific rules they should pay attention too (even though I know people should read the rules they are agreeing to when they sign up!).

If you're in any amount of trouble, the staff should send you PMs. "You have broken a rule. Here is what you did. If you continue breaking the rules, further actions will be taken against you. These further actions could include a site ban. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact staff."
