I accidentally walked in to my friend naked and I was a bit shocked and in the moment that I saw it he had bumps on the base and shaft of his penis. What is that? I pretty sure it’s not herpes.

It probably means he jerks off to much or is not using lube. Not using lube can sometimes irritate the penis.

Depends, if he's shaved it could be razor burn, it happens to everybody who shaves for a while after they start. Could be goosebumps, and there can sometimes be really small whitish bumps on the shaft of a boy's penis, they're normal and I think hormone-induced. You should probably just ask him if he knows what they are or to compare or something, they could be from any number of things.

its hard to say what it truly is with having seen it with our own eyes. It could be a range of things from warts to some kind of irritation. None of us can truly know.

It could be Razer burn, ingrown hairs, if he waxes it could be the result from that. Or it could be goosebumps or pimples.

It could be hair follicles. I had them and small hairs started to grow out of them.

I'm 17 and. I have hair go down about a inch down my shaft. I wouldn't worry. My brother has the same thing.

I have no idea. It could be herpes/STD/STI or hair follicles???? Either ask him or don't worry about it.

There is so many possibilities that you would have to examine them closely and compare to some known things on the internet.

Probably go to the doctor, just to be 100% safe and sure.

I agree with the others that chances are what your friend has is something pretty common, and I doubt he has a STD or anything like that. Without actually seeing what he had it is tough to venture a guess. Clearly, if you are concerned about him and he is a good friend, then you can encourage him to seek medical attention if he has not already done so. I suppose since you seen him naked by accident it is fair game to ask him what he has. However, if he feels uncomfortable talking about it, then drop the question.
