Hey everyone. So I shaved my pubic hair a few days ago and its kinda uncomfortable now as its growing back but there are a few small red dots in the area. They look like tiny pimples. They aren't itchy or anything but I don't know if its normal. Has anyone else experienced this? Also, how long does the hair usually take to grow back? Thanks!

I started shaving mine a long time ago. At first I got a few small, red bumps but they went away in a day or two. I make sure I use a good, sharp razor. Venus for Women are the best razors because they have lubricating strips to keep the skin moist and smooth and it cuts down on skin irritation. I shave mine everyday (I like being totally smooth) so I'm not sure how long it would take them to grow back.

It’s just irritated areas everyone get them after shaving there, they’re all gone within a week

I shave everyday too or almost everyday. I think the lady razors are the best as well. I might get a red bump sometimes but not to often anymore.

Yeah its just irritation and possibly the area needs to be cleaned better. You should always clean everything down there very thoroughly before shaving.

I agree with the others.
Also, trim before you shave. That'll prevent the razor from pulling out the longer hairs before it gets to shave them off at the root. And use a good lotion after shaving.

Yeah, it happens. Let your skin get used to the treatment of shaving, use a sharp razor, and good supplies in general if you can. Mostly it's a time thing. Shave it before bed if you can, or wear looser clothes for as long as you can after shaving, or none if you're like me and can get away with it at night. It gives the skin room to breathe.

What you you describe sounds like a result of the way you shaved so I agree with others it's nothing to worry about although it's not the result you were looking for. It's best to shave pubes just after a shower / bath to soften the skin, Also best to use a 3,4,5, blade razor making sure it's still very sharp a new one is best. And best to use shaving GEL instead of foam. shave in the direction of the hair growth to start with and to finish off if you want shave against the direction of growth to get a smooth finish, Also pull the the skin tight in the area your shaving as shaving loose kin means your more likely to cut yourself. After shaving use some kind of moisturising lotion or a powder, I have always used just baby powder without any problems having shaved my pubes since they started growing at 13.
Having said all the above if the red spots / bumps start giving you any problems it would be best to see a doctor as you may have got an infection, I hope that never happens to you or anyone.

Sounds like razor burn. This is one reason I dislike shaving. Only tried it once, now I use hair clippers down there to groom myself.
