Is it ever justified for a closeted gay guy/girl to date a straight person of the opposite sex even though they don’t have feelings toward them?

I'm openly bisexual and have dated a number of girls, but my boyfriend says he is 100% straight and has no issues dating me. He's the only boy I've ever dated.

If people are dating only as friends, which seems to be the question you asked, then I think it's OK and either person's sexual preferences doesn't really matter. However if they are going to have sex together, then I think out of respect for the other person, they should be told.

Deceiving someone is never justified, even if you feel pressured to date someone of the opposite sex, you don't have the right to play with someone's feelings like that...

toying with someones feelings is just wrong no matter how you want to justify it.

I feel if you're dating someone of the opposite sex but know you will never have feelings for them then it's just cruel. They could very easily fall for you, thinking you love them back only to inevitably be crushed when you break up to be with the gender you truly love. If you know in your heart you cannot ever love the opposite gender, make up excuses to stay single. That way no one gets their heart broken.

What’s the point in dating someone if there’s no feelings between the two people?

If it just a sexual thing then....why even date, just do it
If not interested in each other then why waste your time?

seems kinda messed up...doesn't matter what your orientation is but if you dont have feelings for someone why be dating?

I don't think it's right to get into a relationship when you know that it can't go anywhere. I get that some people might do this as a 'cover' so that others don't think they're gay. I've even heard of some people doing this knowingly (like both of them know it's a cover).

We all know that it happens but I don't think it's fair on the gay or bisexual person so it's not 'justified'

Some people just want a relationship just to have sexual activities. I just cant do that. But if both look for the same thing, hey, why not
