I got caught sleeping naked

My mom caught me sleeping naked yesterday and she said it’s not normal ...
I slept with the door open and my leg was over the blanket so she saw it all...

Problem is that next year I’ll be in a boarding school but with my own individual room and she said that I still need to stop sleeping naked.
But tbh, I sleep better naked and I’m sure it’s not a big deal if others find out !

What should I do ?

For those who sleep naked, do you parents know ? How did they react ?

You should sleep the way it's most comfortable for you. In any case it's definitely not bad or uncommon to sleep naked.

I don't sleep naked, but my little brother does an no one in my family has a problem with it.

In the summer I sleep naked a lot. I don't own pajamas so I usually just wear a pair of briefs and peel them off if I want to sleep naked. My parents don't mind if I sleep naked as long as I put my briefs back on in the morning before I get out of bed.

sleeping naked is nothing uncommon in my house, so not much is said, but you have to do what is comfortable for you. Your mom saying its not normal isnt true, its actually more common than she may think.

You don't list how old you are. I don't think a parent should care or have any say in what we wear to bed. But, if you're really young (11? 12? 13?) maybe she's having trouble dealing with your developing puberty and sexuality?

If I'm not sleeping naked, the most I have on are basketball shorts. And my brothers are the same and my parents are fine with that. It's a little odd that she doesn't want you sleeping however way you want in the privacy of your own room.

Close the door, Ask your mom to knock before she comes in, and wait for permission to enter.

If that does not work, get a lock for your door.

When you are at college/boarding school no one is gonna care if u sleep naked or not.

Gosh --at age 17 you certainly should be able to sleep any way you want to. Maybe your mom doesn't want to see you naked.

No one in my family sleeps naked, but I don't think there's anything wrong with it. It personally isn't comfortable for me, but if it is for you, then I say go for it. Once you're in boarding school, you're mom can't control what you do. lol

Right now it’s very hot in my city and I only have an AC that has a pipe that you need to connect with outside.
Problem is that this AC makes a lot of noise and I can’t really let it turned on all night :/

So basically i put the AC to the lowest temperature before sleeping to cool down my room as much as possible. And then, when i’m about to sleep, i turn off the AC and slightly open my door.

But last time i did that, my door opened completely during my sleep and i was sleeping above my blanket :/

It's totally normal to sleep that way, tons of people do. My parents probably don't know and aren't concerned with what I wear to bed. I would wear loose briefs or some kind of underwear that you find comfortable until you go to boarding school, and then reevaluate your situation, IE, do you have bunkmates, any kind of muster that you'd want to be covered for etc. It's not really her concern what you wear to sleep as long as you are healthy and get good rest.

So you will definitely be able to sleep naked at your school, it's your choice alone.
But I also sleep naked and my parents know and don't mind. I don't have my door open though even though I don't mind being seen. And as said before sleeping naked is normal and is proven to be healthy. If you can't convince your mom you at least have the freedom to do it at school.

Just be conscious and respectful of those people around you, who could come into your room while you are sleeping. But I don't think sleeping naked is "not normal." Sometimes I do it, my brothers do too.

There's nothing wrong with sleeping naked if that's how you feel comfortable and especially at boarding school if you're going to have your own room anyway. At home -- I don't know, is it an option to keep the door closed so your mom doesn't have to see? I guess if those are her rules but again, don't thing it's "not normal". Maybe she's more worried about you making a stain on the sheets without your undies on :)

Sleep the way you want to sleep. Normal is a state of mind that someone creates. She is most likely a Gen X'r, who were raised by baby boomers. And Boomers raised their kids with a stern fist. Do as I say, not as a do. Children should be a seen and not heard. No exposing genitals (intentionally or otherwise) to family members.

If you want to sleep naked, then sleep naked. However I must agree, that if your parents are uncomfortable about it, you may want to have on underware when you sleep. Because it is there house and you do have to follow their rules.

Sleep naked it's more comfortable. Most guys do so it's definitely normal.
Sleeping in the nude was how I was raised so there was no reaction

As I have gotten older I kinda don't really stay in my covers as much. I kinda sleep halfway in my sheets and I get aching morning woods so sometimes when either one of my parents comes in they'll be like "you need to handle that" followed my whatever reason they needed to wake me up

But my fam are basically nudists so we are all pretty open I've walked the house with an erection

My advice to you is just sleep nude and try to be mindful how you sleep but also that's not "good" sleep. So you gotta stand up for yourself if it's that necessary

as for when u are at boarding school, talk to ur roommate. let him know that you do that
