View Full Version : Am I the bad guy?

I have a friend who told me and a couple others in our group chat about an idea they had for something they want to sell. I voiced my thoughts on the matter, trying to tell them what I thought they’d probably need to do first (like get permission to use the creator’s creations) and some personal opinions (how I wouldn’t want someone selling something based off of something that I made for free). However, once I voiced these concerns, it just kinda seemed like everyone turned on me, talking about how I don’t know anything about copyright and that morals and my personal opinions shouldn’t matter. So my question here is am I the bad guy? Am I being too negative or pessimistic on their idea? Thanks

Seemed like you were making some rational points.

If they didn't want your POV they shouldn't ask for it. And if they only want opinions as long as they match their own, they're not after real opinions so much as to get someone to prop them up. If they treat you bad for being honest and showing integrity, screw 'em. Don't offer your opinions to people who aren't worthy of them.
