I have never noticed what you did but then I don't tend to pre-cum much. We know that we get erections during sleep, though these are not necessarily caused by getting aroused and we also know some people get aroused enough to cum while asleep, i.e. a wet dream so getting aroused enough to pre-cum seems perfectly normal for someone who makes plenty of it.

I have had that happen before, and my guess is that you were going to have a wet dream but woke up before it could happen. Maybe during the process of sleeping you were unconsciously rubbing your penis which caused the precum?

What happened to you is fine, and I would not worry about it other than maybe wearing underwear to bed just in case you have precum or a wet dream again.

It could be from a boner you got while you were sleeping and some precum got out. That's happened to me many times before
