View Full Version : Glans not sensitive at all?

I'm 17 and not a big fan of masturbation, thinking it's a boring and pointless activity. The thing is, my penis head is not sensitive at all. I've always thought it's the same for all guys, but from what I've read some people have problems with oversensitivity. So, glans in fact SHOULD have some sensation when touching it? But I feel nothing when touching or stroking it. I'm not circumcised but my foreskin is short and doesn't cover the head, so it is dry and there are many... cracks. If I masturbate, I only have some feelings when orgasming (for 1.5-2 seconds, if that matters), other than that there is nothing "special". So, is it a variant of norm or it could be an illness? As far as I remember, it's been like this since 14 or something, can't recall earlier. I'm not planning to have sexual relationships ever (personal beliefs), so I don't care about pleasure. I want to know if it could be something dangerous and I should see a doctor or it is OK.

From your description of your foreskin/head, it does seem like the constant rubbing on the head against fabric had reduced stimulation to practically nothing which I've rarely if ever heard happen so strongly. Hell, I've been cut practically from birth and I still have sensation in my head. If masturbation brings you little pleasure, you don't have to do it if you don't want. If it all really worries you, speak to your doctor but you don't seem to be negatively impacted in any way.

I'm thinking that because you have a short foreskin that your glans were exposed for a long time similar to a circumcised guy which is why you do not have sensitivity.
As for the cracked skin, you just may have dry skin down there, and you should try using cream down there to see if that alleviates your situation.
Since you are not going to have sexual relationships and really are not much into masturbating, then my thinking is that you really do not have a problem and that you'll be all right.

If there are cracks, no harm in getting it checked out but maybe that's just what it feels like and you just thought it would feel better than it does.

Have you tried with lube, soap ? It is better especially when you are circumsized

I bet it's a lot more sensitive than you think it is.
Try this. (But warning: Do this with pants off and in a place where if you start to release urine unintentionally it won't make a mess.)
1. Put some lubrication (lotion, soap and water, or real lube) on the palm of your dominant hand.
2. With or without an erection (preferably with), grab the shaft of your penis with your opposite hand and wrap your fingers around it so that just your uncovered glans is sticking out of your hand.
3. Place your open-hand lubricated palm right over your glans so that the palm of your hand is touching your other hand.
4. Now begin rubbing your glans with fast circular motions with the palm of your hand - and see what happens and how long you can stand it!
5. For me and my friends we can stand doing this for maybe 10-15 seconds tops before the feeling in our glans gets so intense that we can't stand it. And this stimulates the bladder muscle to contract and sometimes you might begin to piss uncontrollably when you do this.
- It's not dangerous to do this, but I bet you'l find out that you DO have an extremely sensitive normal glans after all.

It helped a little, but still not enough to "finish" even after a minute. But thanks anyway!
I asked a doctor online and he told me that it's not a norm but if I'm ok with it then it doesn't matter much. He also said that I should check sugar level in my blood (probably diabetes?), which I did, it's a bit high, but still within the limits of "normality". Well, it would be very embarrasing to go to a real urologist, so I decided it's not worth it.
Thanks for replies, everyone!

For how long is your glans exposed, and when your foreskin got shorter?
