Hey there !

My brother and I have been raised naturist since our birth.
We are always naked at home, at campings ...etc and it has never been an issue.
We've been taught that nudity isn't something sexual and that body respect is one of the most important values of naturism.

But recently, I told some of my non-naturist friends about it and they found it gross, almost incestuous. :(

What's your experience with nudity ? Have you ever been nude with your siblings? Would you like to ?

I think because i've seen my mother nude all my life, I dont mind seeing her.
It's more about education rather than "being brave"

Brothers and sisters naked together-that's up to them. Every family has their own views and you don't have to be a naturist to see other family members naked.

Quick update : I invited my friend to come at home for a sleepover and he accepted.
So two days ago he went at home and saw that nudity has nothing to do with incest or sex.
He was a bit embarrassed at first because he had never seen my parents nude before. He stayed clothed at the beginning but then he strip down to his underwear at dinner because my mom advised him to do so because we were eating bolognese pasta and that would have stained his clothes.

Later on, we took our shower and i suggested him to stay nude after that. He hesitated for a long time but finally decided to give it a try. After that we just went watching TV before bedtime.
He slept in my brother’s bed and my brother and i slept in mine.
Next morning we ate breakfast together and my parents explained him the philosophy of naturism in general.

After that, he got dressed and told me that he was sorry for what he said and that he actually liked being nude and sleep naked !

It just depends on perspective. Some people are more conservative and think all things naked = sex. Others not like that.

That sounds cool to live in an open and accepting environment like that. I don't think it's incestuous or weird or whatever. It's just natural and coming from a consensual and normalized perspective. Live how you want as long as you aren't hurting others. The people who think it's weird are just insecure about it or undereducated on it. I wouldn't bother with them. I hit puberty before my older brother. I was 11 when I started and he was 13, we are a 10 months apart. It annoyed him, but it showed him what to expect. We have had no issues with nudity, we hung out nude, jerked off together and made jokes about each other's shortcomings. I am hairy, he isn't, he has ball busted me about that and I have nut busted him about being a hairless ape that couldn't grow a lot of pubes if he begged God so being nude isn't a issue. We weren't raised that way, we have always been open around each other about everything since before puberty.

I don't understand - you are only a naturist with your brother and nobody else???? If that's so, you aren't a naturist/nudist. And if you mean you are a nudist with everyone (all your family, and the other people you allow to be nude with - people at nude resorts and beaches) then why are your friends only asking about your brothers???

I'll await your response before I say too much, but will just say this - it's your life and you decide when you want to wear clothes and who you want to be with. Period.

Im focusing on my brother because we used to sleep together a lot and hug in the morning or before sleeping to wish us a good sleep/a nice day.

I find nothing wrong with being nudists. I also understand people who don't want to be one themselves. I understand that people judge it without trying it, but that's really not fair. I hug my sisters (not daily), not really into hugging my younger brother, but that's fine that you do imo.

But I had to shower at school after gym. guess what, we all were naked and no one had sex. The problem has become that too many people associate nudity with sex or they tell their kids to hide their nudity and be ashamed of it. This seems to be your friends problem not yours.

I look at it this way. Nudity is no big deal. I think with boys, Teen males and even adult males it makes some of us uncomfortable because of several things.

1. It makes us feel vulnerable.
2. (and this is true of preteens and teens in puberty) that old cliche of size matters. As is evident of this thread alone, we have people with age ranges from 11 to at least 20-21. We all started puberty at a different age, I started when I was 11, some are 14 and haven't hit puberty yet and when we are in a situation where we may be naked (Showering after gym) where we may seem vastly different from the other people in our age group. And that makes us feel vulnerable in from of people we don't know.

However around our family, specifically brothers. We don't feel vulnerable, they know us, we know them and brothers protect each other and stand by each other, even when we want to strangle each other.

We all have penis's, testicles. The only difference is size, hairiness, foreskin or no foreskin, hard, soft, direction of curve if any at all and thats it.

Personally I think this whole taboo of being naked around siblings is a crock of useless shit. We are siblings, it isn't like we are going to fuck each other if we are nakes. And for those that do, then you know what. Good for you, if it is what you do, then it is what you do. I can't judge you.

It's sad that your friends don't understand nudism! We aren't nudists but would definitely like to try it sometime.

I think it becomes harder to separate the two if the only time you are nude the presence of anyone else is to do something sexual. Once you get used to casual nudity in other situations it seems more normal and less sexual.
