do you have severe phimosis? if the answer is no then leave it alone.

I hear it hurts like a bitch and you won't want to touch your dick for a month after.

All surgery hurts but that's why you get anaesthesia.

There are many threads of teens that got cut at your age (I'm cut when a baby so don't know your other questions).

Check these:

It is seriously not worth it. I know people who have gotten cut just to 'fit in' or whatever and Im telling you its not worth it. Unless it is a serious medical issue like phimosis which traditional medicine didn't cure, then I would just leave it be.

definitely agree.

unnecessary circumcision is mutilating a perfectly natural body part that was meant to be there, and is no different than chopping off your nose or an earlobe. be thankful that you weren't mutilated at birth like many of us.

It will hurt about as badly afterwards as having part of your penis sliced off.
Will take 6 to 8 weeks to heal properly.
You will take care of it by following the care and handling instructions you are given after the surgery.

Plan to rest at home for 2-3 days after getting it done and just make sure the bandage is clean. You will not really put your penis into action for 3-4 weeks.

I had it done by personal choice and I am fine with it, but I am just one data point (I just have to say that not everyone who is circumcised thinks it's a disaster.)

ask a doctor or the surgeon performing the operation, surely he'd have an idea.

Most of cut guys are happy with their situation.

I am one that was circumcised at 13 just because I wanted it done so I speak from experience and not from my imagination. First, I was put to sleep so I did not feel a thing when it was done. For about 2 days I took some pain pills. Then I went down to Tylenol for a few more days. I was cut the first part of Christmas break. After New Years I went back to school and never missed a day from the circumcision. After about 4 weeks it was looking pretty normal less a foreskin. I even had PE when I went back to school and when taking showers, all my friend said when they noticed was, "you got cut". After about 6 weeks, my cut dick looked just like those that were circumcised as a baby. As far as taking care of a new circumcised penis, you have stitches for 1 week. A light gauze bandage is over the outside for a few day. Wear boxers and sweat pants for the first few days. Now to sum it up. The pain was not that bad at all and for me "IT WAS ALL WORTH IT". I would do it all again in a heartbeat. If it is something you want, I would say go for it. I would also say don't wait. You are already missing out on the benefits of being cut and if you wait there will be those who will try to scare you because they will never have the courage to have it done themselves. Good luck!

I would say the same.

But that's a little too much.

Fitting in wouldn't be his case as he is from Québec in Canada from what I can see and most guys aren't cut here.

It will hurt about as badly afterwards as having part of your penis sliced off.

Which is actually the case.

It's your dick and your choice... Some people get a nose job because they feel it will make them feel better about themselves. No big deal. I don't know why people get so bent over getting cut. I'm cut and LOVE the way my dick looks and much prefer to suck on a cut dick. Most uncut dicks 'I've experimented with had a funky smell'. Just my personal taste..

I'm cut and I like it. I had general anaesthesia, so it doesn't hurt. Your penis feels uncomfortable for about 2 weeks.

Ultimately it's completely your choice. The circumcision procedure has a low probability of having any complications and doesn't take too long to heal. But before you consider this operation perhaps determine why you would want to do it as this is an operation that modifies a siginificant body part. Foreskin is a natural part of human anatomy. The foreskin really isn't intrusive either. An erect uncircumcised penis looks the same as an erect circumcised penis. Clean up is no problem too. A circumcised penis you wash it thoroughly with soapy water with your hands. An uncircumcised penis you wash it thoroughly with soapy water with your hands. The only difference is making sure you pay extra attention to under the foreskin but in total that takes an extra 10 seconds. A clean penis is a clean penis, regardless of how it looks. Plus it's not a completely useless body part. It creates a nice moist enviroment, it protects it from chaffing and other enviromental damage, it retracts, and makes masturbation and sex a bit better. Now not saying for circumcised people everything is ruined. For circumcised pensises sex still feels great and your penis looks fine. I would just question how necessary the operation is as it does cost money and is usually performed for cosmetic, religious, or cultural reasons. To you it might make your penis look better but in the end penises come in all different shapes and sizes, uncircumcised and circumcised. The apperance of your genitals shouldn't matter because most of the time it gets the job done.

Dude almost everyone who has replied to you never experienced circumcision. it's actually VERY hygienic and would reduce the probability of you receiving diseases. You just need to change the bandage everyday and it would only take a maximum of 2 weeks to heal, 6-8 weeks is reaaaally long. You'd be taking up medicine too.

In babies who are circumcised, the foreskin usually takes about 7 to 10 days to heal. In older boys and men, the healing process can take up to four to six weeks.

I've found in the surgeries I've had, it takes about 8 weeks until it doesn't feel like you've had surgery. The last part of that is numbness where the incision was made.

If you want to get it done then go for it. It is your body. Nobody can say it wasn't your choice like they do for baby boys that have it done. I was cut after I was born so I can't tell you what it was like, but I can tell you I like the way it looks now. Good luck

SURGERIES? i don't mean to pry or anything but how many times had you undergone circumcision (even though i think it's only once) or perhaps you had surgeries in your penis?

Circumcision has a high chance of medical problems, in america when people are circumcised at birth the chance of death is high, when teen/adult boched circumcision is still high, so it could go eather way its perfect or boched boched means it would be curved or similar, it might hurt when erect because too much skin tooken away or similar, in all its your choice.

Most surgeries are the same, weather it's a penis or a foot. You get cut and then you get stitched and then you go through the healing process. Different body part, same process.

I would talk to your doctor about it, and talk to him or her about WHY you want to have it done. Circumcision seems to generate so much controversy on these forums and I can never quite see why. Better to get expert opinion and make your own informed choice on that basis. Literally millions of guys here in the UK are uncircumcised with no issues of health or hygiene, but a small percentage benefit from circumcision because of problems with foreskin tightness etc. Guys on the forums report being perfectly happy cut - and others perfectly happy uncut, so I would discuss with your doctor whether it could bring you whatever benefits you think it might. I guess there are going to be risks and pain to manage after any surgery, so you would have to weight up the pros and cons.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

I can help you with that. I was just circumcised a week ago. All you have to do is to just talk with your parents about it and then the procedure. I must say that you'll get an injection for anesthesia. Either local or general. I got a local anesthesia so I got an injection on the dick. I also must say that it hurts a bit and then hurts the most during your healing process. You'll have a gauze bandage around your penis for 2 days or maybe less or more. Painkillers. Painful erections, stitches. Yea.
