Other than bananas, how do y'all help yourselfs in avoiding leg cramps? When I go out to exert a lot of energy though my legs, I usually get cramps when I don't have my bananas in the morning. It could be that I have a potassium deficiency or something, but how is it for you guys?

Don't really get leg cramps, but I know stretching and warming up before exercise helps with that. Also, overexertion isn't particularly good for you, especially if its causing you to have bad cramps a lot of the time when doing it.

When I get leg cramps do stretches, walk through it, or massage the muscle. It usually goes pretty soon afterwards.

Make sure you're drinking plenty of water too. It could be your dehydrated.

As said above, just making sure that the leg remains exercised and in no way tense will really help the cramp to subside. I get them fairly often too and usually end up walking around the house a little to help blood flow and release tension.

I only get them when I sleep in strange positions then stretch my leg in the morning. I just shake vigorously and it seems to go away. I usually go and do some light exercises after it happens.

I just sever the offending limb and wait for a new one to grow back

Like mick01 said, being dehydrated may be the reason for your cramps. Make sure you drink enough water and that might help

Drink a lot of water-Gatorade-orange juice
and eat bananas for depleted KCL(Potassium).
The stretching as they said above is also helpful
with leg cramps but being hydrated is the main
thing if u get frequent cramps.

Lay on your back. Have someone hold your toes as you try to pull them up. Hold that for a few then relax. Do that a couple times. Then push your toes away. Hold then relax.
