Venice: just wander the streets. I love getting lost in Venice.
Even though you can't really get lost there, because it's a island and not very big. But walk into every alley and you'll find very cool places. Don't just go to the famous places. If there's one city that's very cool to get lost in, it's Venice.
A gondola ride is overrated and overpriced, imo.
Oh, and don't bother eating in Venice. Eat in Mestre, just across the water. Restaurants in Venice are aimed at tourists, and therefor the food is not great and overpriced. Mestre is more for locals, which means the quality and the price are better. This is true for evey tourist place btw. If you go just beyond the tourist areas, the food is better and prices lower.

Paris: The Catacombs! Go there early in the day to beat the crowds. And visit Versailles!

For Liam: Brussels is not worth visiting for more than a day, in my opinion. If you want to visit a city in Belgium, go to Bruges. Sooo pretty!

That's some long trips by train btw...

Most of my friends, including me have already visited Brussels and since I am from Amsterdam it's a little close to home to include in our trip.

Thanks for your ellaborate answer! I appreciate it. Took notes haha

it is quite long yes, when going from Budapest to Venice we have a 6 minute (!!) layover in Vienna that we are most certainly going to miss so we'll (secretly hoping) probably be stranded in Vienna for a night lol

Why not Amsterdam? :D and more cities in Southern Europe like Spain and Portugal?

Well I'm from Amsterdam so that is our starting point. And we got a pass to visit 7 cities over a month in total and we went to Portugal the last 2 years and I went to Barcelona in May so those cities have been visited already haha

When it comes to London, it's best to do things that are free or cheap since London is mega-expensive as a city (no doubt like many other cities on the list). Visit Hyde Park, watch the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, relax by the Houses of Parliament. If you want things that you're willing to pay for, the Tower of London, Madame Tussauds or indeed Buckingham Palace are all options. Much like the other cities, it may just be nice to walk around and appreciate the atmosphere and architecture rather than do the touristy stuff. London is one of the largest and oldest cities in the world and many sections of the place definitely show that.

One thing that's for certain, though, is that unless you're purposefully looking for exotic cuisine you're much better off getting food from a Greggs or a pub than any restaurant. British cuisine more based around the home and community rather than the high art forms of Italian or French foods. That works out well in pricing since your average fish & chips or pasty will be dirt cheap.

Paris - Visit the Louvre. It's a pretty cool museum. I also recommend going on top of the Eiffel tower. The view is fantastic.

London - Visit the Museum (recommended). Go on a boat ride across the themes too. You'll be able to see all the landmarks that way.

Never been to the other places unfortunately. Have fun :)

London is pretty expensive in terms of transport and paid attractions so definitely look for free stuff going on. I think all of the galleries are free now and so are the parks so if you're into those you can go there for a bit. Talking of touristy 'English' stuff to do, go to see houses of parliament, all of the changing of the guards ceremonies are nice to see if you haven't seen them before and they are free too in a few places around london. You could go to the theatre too. Really though, wandering around is good too.

Haven’t got a lot to provide here but in Paris (not sure about other cities) take your passport/ID with you on days out! The Louvre Museum and Musée d’Orsay allow free entry to anyone under 25 and is an EU citizen.
