Harder to pee in public toilet?

When i'm using a public urinal i find it much harder to pee. I wait there for maybe 10 seconds and then the pee comes out. Even if i need the toilet it still can take me 10 seconds. Why is this? At home i can pee instantly. Anyone else the same?

It's called "shy bladder". I don't have the problem myself much, but I know friends who tell me that even going into a stall where you have privacy and nobody can see you doesn't help much. I have no advice, but just try to relax and imagine you're aiming your pee at something, like putting out a small fire.

When I'm at home I usually go at the last second but when peeing in public I have to force myself to pee, so it takes longer to get it out

I'm notoriously pee-shy. I can't use urinals, really. It's a common thing.

Yeah this has happened to me. I'm gradually moving past it but for a long time I couldn't even use public restrooms if anyone was in there with me.

I feel like I’m being watched if I use a urinal so I just use the stall feels more private

I don't really mind using public urinals ,but it can sometimes be embarrassing if I'm not the only one there.

Ya I used to be pee shy. But then I stopped caring if anyone looked and my shyness went away.

I guess youre just shy but I don't think I have ever had a problem being able to pee in urinals

I'm sometimes pee shy, but still prefer to use the urinals. As long as there is a divider between them, I usually don't have a problem or even if it's just one open row or something, if I really have to go IDC.

Ehh i never really like public toilets just glad my bladder is strong :P since i'm shy about asking to go to the toilet since anxiety

Me too...and I am self -consious about being small down there and having to be closer to the urinal...
I always use a stall to pee in public...Then I can take my time, take my pants and undies off and pee seated down..

I would say that I have the same problem. I don't use public restrooms often. But when I do I use the stalls and even then I have to like wait 5 to 10 seconds before I pee. I don't know why though.

I overcame that problem a while back. I can pee in public urinal so long as I look up and relax as if no one is around.

But in school I have urinals with dividers and I really like that
as nobody can see my penis while Im urinating, however there
are only 3 urinals at the toilet because school has 4 levels and many bathrooms
so when there's event organised on my level all urinals are crowded and when there is
anybody standing urinal next to me I won't pee (I tried many times, I just can't)
