Not sure. There are websites that say how. I do believe its what was said: from the pubic bone to the tip (so thats from the top side). But if you are coming up with different sizes it could also just be due to how excited you are and how cold it is.

i checked but when i do it from the top and from the side its basically the same size. plus mine i straight but has a little curve so i cant really measure it from the top so is it ok?

Mine also curves up slightly, it's acceptable to use seamstress measuring tape or a flexible ruler to measure in this case. I'll have to do more research on measuring from the side


EDIT: yeah, it's still considered incorrect to measure from the side for the sake that some guys do actually measure longer when measuring this way and all studies on penis size also measure from the top.

Ruler at the top, press into the pubic bone if you have fat. I think you're meant to remove 1cm as rulers often have that little gap.
