Clothes around neighbors

Im usually in shorts with no shirt or in only boxers around the house. Sometimes the neighbors kids ring the doorbell and ive never been sure whether I should put shorts or a shirt on. I was just wondering if it was ok to answer the door either in only gym shorts or in only boxers since even though theyre younger than me, they always walk away from the door before I have time to get dressed and Ive seen them dressed the same exact way playing around the neighborhood

I'm not sure about boxers or underwear, that's kind of societally understood to be below the minimum level of clothing for interacting with most people. Gym shorts are perfectly respectable I think though. It's your house, you can dress how you want, just keep their comfortability in mind as well when you must greet them.

if some little kid thinks you're exposing yourself, you can bet the police will be soon be asking why you're answering the door and exposing yourself to little kids. what's the judge gunna believe when some cute little kid that says you exposed yourself and you're telling the judge "i was just standing there in my underwear"?

BTW.... when i've had sleepover at friends house, it never been a big deal with my friends brother's walked around in their underwear in the moring, but it was kinda weird when their dad's did, especially if he was the flirty type.

gym shorts should be fine, though boxers are iffy; I personally wouldn't answer the door in boxers.

being nudist, I always put something on (shorts or sweat pants) when I answer the door because its just proper.

I don't see anything wrong with doing it in underwear that covers what needs to be covered if you know the people. With strangers, probably the gym shorts are a better plan. My family are nudists and rarely wear anything in the house but we do keep something near the front door to put on quickly in case anyone comes. If I know the person, I'm fine opening the door in panties and a sports bra or t shirt.

Shirtless is alright, but I would appreciate if the person opening the door wore something more than their boxer shorts. It's kinda "distracting". xD

Now that it's summer, I usually wear a Speedo around the house because I spend a lot of time in the pool. If not a Speedo, then I'm usually in a pair of briefs with no shirt inside the house. I keep a pair of shorts handy in case someone comes to the door and I have to answer it.

If I know it's one of my friends I'll answer the door in my briefs, otherwise I put shorts on or let someone else answer the door

I'm always at least minimally dressed when I answer the door, unless I know who it is and no one else is home (which is rare).

Some of them probably would, and I'd be concerned about that if I were a boy. But I think most kids would be pretty casual about it if you already knew them and not even think there was anything wrong with it. Kids up to about 10 or 12 run around my neighborhood in their underwear, even play in the yard like that and I used to as well.

I agree about somebody else answering the door if you're in something lose where things might accidentally open up or fall out.

Nearly all the kids skinny dip in backyard pools and a bunch of them play outside in their underwear particularly in the evenings after dinner or in the early morning when they first go outside.

So around here, it wouldn't bother anyone but I totally understand that in other places people are more conservative about stuff like that.

i didn't think it was a big deal when it happened, but it was kinda weird. when mom found out, she didn't want me going over there anymore.

My friends Dad wasn't flirting with me at all it's just the way he is. He covers up right away once he realizes I'm around.

Depending on who's at the door, sometimes I'm totally ok with answering the door in panties and a long t-shirt. My older brother usually has on shorts and sometimes a t-shirt or tank top if he answers the door. It gets VERY hot in Phoenix so wearing as little as possible is a necessity so long as we're properly covered. Neither of my parents ever answer the door in their underwear. If my parents have their friends over, all of us kids are properly dressed to receive them and if we kids and the parents and visitors are going into the pool, our choices in swimwear is more modest out of respect to our parents and teir friends.

The kids I'm talking about who play in their underwear are all under about age 12, but it's still common for older teens to skinny dip. There isn't a lot of traffic on our road either, while it's not a private road the only people who ever drive here are ones who live here as it's a dead end a block or so further down.

What part of the country are you in? I want to move there lol. About the only people who could get away with playing around like that here are the ones still in diapers.

In the midwest central region. We joke about it being in the middle of nowhere because the closest cities having more than a few thousand people living in them are more than an hour away from here.

Oh, there are probably some people like that everywhere you go, and I've never lived anywhere else to compare it to. But my family are nudists and I'm sure by now everyone in town knows that about us, and no one says anything so they must mostly be OK with it. This evening my younger sis (11) is having 4 of her girlfriends here for a sleepover and for the past several hours all of them have been naked in the house and the back yard with their parents approval.

Lol sounds like my friends and me. I can get away with it at home like I said, but only because our house backs up to a mountain and our nearest neighbors are like 3/4 mile away. If there were a family in town that were known as nudists, they'd get treated like the haunted house...kids, cross the street to pass...

Ive seen them play outside with their shirts off so would it ve ok to go to the door in only gym shorts and no shirt? I know theyre fine with it but I just dont want them to say anything to their mom and get in trouble for answering the door shirtless
