I was rewatching Vicky Cristina Barcelone a Woody Allen movie about 2 friends who went to Barcelona for a vacation with Vicky's (Rebecca Hall) distant cousin who are expatriates based there. On one of their leisurely activities, Vicky and Crisitina (Scarlett Johansson) meets an artist Juan Antonio (Javier Bardem) who invites them to see a Church in Oviedo with free transport and accommodations.

Vicky who is getting married after the vacation spurns the advances of Juan Antonio while Cristina willingly wants to sleep with him but Cristina falls violently before they could sleep together. The next day, Vicky while on tour with Juan Antonio fall in love with him but abandons the relationship Crisitina recovers and two do their own thing that summer and drift apart.

During this time, Cristina fall in love with Juan Antonio and lives in with him until one day when Juan Antonio's crazy suicidal wife and a more talented artist Maria Elena/ME (Penelope Cruz) was discharged by the hospital. ME goes nuts and physically abused Juan Antonio. ME eventually warms up to Cristina and teaches her to become a photographer and one day while developing her films make out in the dark room. Juan Antonio suddenly enters and instead of freaking out makes out with both women. ME's temper and anger with Juan Antonio is now balanced with her love for Cristina and so on and so forth...

And these my friends is a crazy hyperbolic example of polyamory.

So my question is would such a concept work for teens? In the movie, it was established that the raw naiveté of one party (Cristina) served as a buffer between Maria Elena and Juan Antonios violent relationship. As we know teens are very fickle minded and very unsure of their feelings and have the tendency to misplace their passion. Hence, do you think this is a realistic or possible scenario for younger people to explore their sexuality and or personality? Or is this a concept best saved for adults?

You would have to be an exceptional threesome to ever do that. It could end up horribly bad. I certainly don't think that this would be a good thing for anyone to do let alone teenagers. So my answer would be definitely do not try a relationship like that.

I'm in an open relationship. I don't know if it meets the definition of polyamory, but I have a boyfriend and we both mess around with other people with our full knowledge, including my BFF. And my sister and her wife have a guy who's basically their boyfriend... they're not teens any more but still. If you realize that emotions and having fun with your body are separate things, you can have a lot of fun this way.

Idk what you said about that movie but 3sums are awesome. Jealousy usually comes into play. But not always.

Why and what does the OP’s status mean as unregistered? Are they gone from VT?

As to the question, I think it isn’t an age thing really. From what I can gather online by reading other forums about relationships and from some scholarly journals on romantic and sexual human behavior, majority of people teens or adults cannot navigate the mindfield of emotions in a 3-some or moresome.

Jealousy gets in the way, or perhaps emotion or even just physical preferences rear their head for for person over another.

Those who make it work must have ground rules and already have a solid foundation of who they are, rather than have sexual and romantic experiences help figure out who they are.

And medical tests and health transparency is usually on the table between all involved.

Also it seems in moresomes cultures, that another aspect of discussion for those who practice this means discussing whether the group should have a closed circle of polyamorous arrangements, so as to protect against STI and STD’s adding anybody new to the group would have to be initiated and confirm to the group’s norms.

Those groups who don’t tend to get someone who is infected who gets everyone else sick, damaged, or dead.

I'm guessing it has to do with them not verifying their email address yet or it has to do with GDPR.

Which would be great for vt if they are following gdpr guidelines.

I'm from the UK which is currently subject to GDPR and my status hasn't changed which implies that vt are complying by regulations.
