To religious and non religious people : what do you think happens after death ? Do you believe in heaven or hell ? How do you imagine them ? Do you believe in something else ? A new life starting somewhere else ? Reincarnation ? Other ?

That's simple. I assume that I'll be dead and remain dead. FiN!

I don't know... I do hope a rainbow bridge exists though..

I've always imagine it as falling asleep and falling backwards at the same time in endless darkness.

I have so many ideas and theories and don't know what to think or believe. My conclusion is we will have to wait untill the Lord takes us for our calling. I do believe in heaven, but will we remember our life that we just left? Unknown, so many questions, but answers will come when our time comes.

I'm not sure what I believe, but I hope there's something after death, or I'll feel ripped off. What's the point of being born, raised, going to school, get a job, etc. etc., and then everything just goes black? Of course, it that's what happen, I probably won't care, since I won't know. :P

I'm positive there is a heaven and a hell and that which one we end up in is pretty much decided by our choices of how we live and respect other people.

I honestly have no way of knowing what happens after death. That is why it is called FAITH. Honestly living a life expecting to go to heaven seems to work best for me.

Return to the same non-existence that was before birth. That is one thing I think might happen.

Other times I think there may be some kind of mystical afterlife, but who knows?

So what do you think happens in there ?

For that, we will have to wait until we arrive in one of them to know. I picture hell as punishment for sinners, so it's going to be very unpleasant but doesn't necessarily have to mean it's like a huge fiery furnace. Heaven is a peaceful and happy place where we will be surrounded by other people like ourselves.

When we die, our bodies are decomposed and turned into compost.

You think there is nothing at all after ?

Nothing.

But just supposed there's such thing like afterlife, it's certainly nothing compared to your life now as Oscar. Whether you'll live in a paradise, in a hell, wherever, whenver or you are born again - you'l never again be the same Oscar as you consciously perceive yourself in this very moment. Your relation to this life will presumably not exist then.

So I guess we can say that if you die at the age of 108, Oscar will not exist anymore. Or in general: By any regards someones life will be over.

No one knows for sure, but the most probable answer is nothing.

In Judaism, there are many beliefs about what happens after we die. Some people think there's a heaven. Others think the dead will be resurrected if and when the Messiah comes. My rabbi once said—and I'll never forget this—that no one knows what happens after death, and that's why we have to make the most of our lives in this world.

Depending on our connection with God we can have eternal piece or choose to be a soldier of God aka an angel and watch over the world.

No one knows for sure ...

Completely regardless of whatever we would know to hundred per cent - if we knew it, we would live completely different life.

So what is the point of being reborn or reincarnate if you dont remember your previous life ?

The most probable answer is nothing at all: we just die and that's it. An eternal paradise/punishment makes no sense at all because why would someone deserve endless reward/punishment for the actions they make in a relative speck of that time? In the same way, reincarnation makes little sense as, if you cannot remember the actions of a past life and therefore cannot develop as a person/soul, there is no use or final goal to reincarnation.

Completely regardless of whatever we would know to hundred per cent - if we knew it, we would live completely different life.

That would depend what the answer ends up being. If we discovered the answer is nothing which is the most probable option at the moment, life wouldn't really change that much, the number of Atheist would rise, but most of those would be people who say they believe in God but follow almost nothing of their religion. The rest would probably ignore the science and continue to believe in their bullshit in the same way people ignore scientific facts like the shape of the Earth, climate change, evolution, etc.

So if tomorrow we found out that without a doubt that there is no God the only thing that would change is the number of Atheist and that religions would become conspiracy theories.

And thus the lifes of former believers would change and from that point be very different. :D
