When showering at public swim pools, do you keep your swimwear on or do you strip off naked? I keep mine on but I am not sure whether to take it off in order to shower properly but the showers are communal?

Our pool has both stalls and a communal area so I shower naked in the stalls when alone and naked in the communal area with friends.
I'd say just do what you are comfortable with and if you want to shower naked you should!

I shower naked even if it’s communal. You get use to it, and most guys on the swim team do the same. The grade 8 if it’s their first year swimming they would usually wear there jammers or speedo in the shower.

If they are private showers, I'll always do it naked. With communal showers it usually depends on the situation. If I'm just with a group of friends and we went swimming together we will just shower in our swimsuits. However, after swim team practice, we all usually shower naked. I guess I usually will do whatever everyone else it doing, to some degree. I wouldn't want to be the only one naked if everyone else isn't.

I’ll go into the shower with my suit on but I take it off immediately to rinse it out then I finish the rest of the shower naked. Just do what you feel comfortable doing. If it is a public pool, nobody will care, but if it is at school you could get teased for wearing your suit into the shower. Although I would encourage anyone to breakout of their comfort zone and try something new. I think if you try it you’ll find its not that big of a deal.

I am on the swim team at school and the local swimming club and we shower naked so we can rinse our suits and besides we all have the same thing. When we are at the club pool and its an official practice we all go in together and no other public people are allowed in until we finish. We have 10 minutes to shower and dres before strangers are allowed in.

You should shower without them on since you’re not fully clean if you keep them on. Here in Denmark some swimming pools have guards checking the shower to make sure people take them off - since many people don’t.

my school doesn’t have showers so we only strip to underwear. in 7th grade our class went to DC for a trip and in the hotel we took showers separate and never stripped in front of each other. every september we go to sleepaway camp as a class and we shower separately and don’t strip as well. people sleep shirtless and underwear but never naked.

in iceland though i went on a trip with my family and they require you to shower naked before swimming. i wasn’t used to showering naked even in front of my parents so i always waited for my dad to shower before me so he wouldn’t see me naked and vice versa. after he was gone though i didn’t mind being nude at all. sometimes i would jerk off in the communal showers and people didn’t care bc i was a teenager, but i did get some stares from other teenagers even though a lot of them jerked off and got boners too, they were just curious.
