Which parts of the world use the military time standard clock system as the general time system for their country? I heard that Britain uses it but I see many British people in Britain using the regular 12 hour AM/PM cycles. What's the deal?

In Sweden we use it(I'm assuming neighboring countries do too), when speaking we say 7 when referring to the morning and 19 for afternoon. It's very easy to use

We use the 24 hour format where 00:00 is for midnight. In speech though we rarely say it's 19 'o' clock for example. We say it's 7 in the evening, but on official documents and digital watches, we use that format.

Colloquially we use the 12-hour format but on all official documents and in schools we are to use the 24 hour format pretty regularly.

So, time goes from 0:00 to 23:59 where I am from.
I find it very hard to figure out what is 12:00 PM or 12:00 AM.
0:00 is midnight, 12:00 is noon, neither is AM nor PM.
Also, when someone says 12:30 AM - what is that?!?!
How does time start at 12 instead of 0?!?

It’s actually quite historic dating back to Mesopotamia and Egypt, it’s like that to distinguish between night and daytime. It may be more confusing but it was helpful at one point. America got it from Britain who later switched to the 24 hour system during the mechanical era. What may seem weird to you is normal for us and may seem normal to you is weird for us. I couldn’t imagine saying it’s 17 o clock. Or saying it’s 17:45 right now.
