As the school year ends so does my first year of doing computing science. Throughout the year I have been introduced to Python. The first year was more just an introductory course and wasn't that difficult; now I want to challenge myself. I am just looking for any ideas anyone might have for projects to do involving coding. Things like previous school assignments or even projects you have done in your own time, any input would be appreciated.
"Thanks in advance for any replies :)

Python's a good language. I quite like it, and have been using it for about 3 years now.

As for challenges, this is based on the GCSE spec in England but still should be quite useful for you, I did a couple of these after my first year in Computer Science and although a challenge, you always get there in the end:

I like to think of applications that would be of use to me to solve problems I have. I keep a list of them for ideas in the future for when I am more skilled. I think the most useful applications are those that can solve your everyday problems and make computing easier.

Do an emu for something like Chip8, Chip16, NES, or GB.
