So I have a terrible case of ADD. I've noticed that if I drink coffee on the days that I don't take my normal ADD meds ( on weekends. and yes it's okay according to my doctor) I feel a lot like I'm still on my medicine. any explaination or " me too"'?

It’s because coffee has a stimulant in it which makes you focus more. All add meds arris a stimulant for your brain. I’m sure there is something herbal out there that you can take.

A friend of mine with ADD has done this before, and he says it actually works pretty well. I'd just try it, and as long as it works and continues to work, there's not really any harm in it. To answer your question though, yes it does actually work so it's not just you.

Is it strange that coffee makes me tired? I don't know if I have ADHD for sure, my parents want me to get tested before the next school year, but can;t right now because of the covid. But i've heard people say this is kind of common in people who have it.

I find caffeine to be to weak of a stimulant to do anything for my ADD. Why do you have days off your meds?

Coffee is a stimulant probably as well
as ur medication for ADD so that is why
u feel the same as when u dont take ur
medication. The thing is dont mix caffeine
With ur medication cause ur heart would
explode. Coffee in moderation is good if
u like it.
