First thread.

I’m wanting to get circumcised, but I live in the UK and can’t afford to pay for the surgery, and don’t want my parents to know.

I m pretty I want to get a high and tight circumcision, but open to opinion. I want to be cut for a number of reasons including aesthetics and cleaninlessk I’ve already made the choice, so please don’t try and stop me.

Can anyone recommend the best device for a high and tight circumcision? And if your in Northern England, do you know of places other than NHS Hospitals that will do circumcisions?

The NHS don’t cover circumcision for personal reasons unfortunately.

Any advice would be appreciated, you can message me if you have other a hundred posts as well.

You seem anti-circumcison, I wish for option from someone who is unbiased, or someone who clearly try’s to be anyway. As your uncut, you will automatically think it’s best, as you haven’t known any better.

I’ve decided I already want it, so advise about the actual op etc is all I need, not someone trying to tell me not to.

If you chose to be cut and didn’t like it, then your thoughts would have some relevance.

Thanks.

Make sure you have a loose circumcision. I'm circumcised, but it's pretty loose, so it's basically like I have a short foreskin that Just doesn't cover the head. I never have to use lube, but it's not as maintenance intensive as having a full foreskin...

Thanks, how loose on a scale of 1 to 10?

10 Tight

A tight circumcision, could possibly make erections tight and painful. If you are serious and want to be cut, id def leave it a bit looser. It can make masturbating a lil easier, no lube, still have some moveable skin during sex which can be better for boy and girl or boy and boy or whatever. Plus if you leave more inner foreskin/orignal skin, that has more sensitivity than just shaft skin. I had a kinda tight cut that ive managed to stretch and loosen and its alot better now with a looser foreskin.

Yep, I think I’ve changed my opinion to loose now.

I was cut when I was a baby and it was by a private doctor as far as I know. Just goggle 'circumcision doctors near...[fill your hometown here]' and see which ones are cheapest to do the type you want.

I’ve done that, and the closest is the next county over and they all seem focused on babies and young kids.

In fairness, is pretty rare to find adults willingly getting cut for non-medical reasons so most surgeons aren't used to it. There will most likely be at least 1 in the UK but there's no guarantee that they're anywhere close to you. All I can suggest is keep researching and googling adult circumcision surgeons.

They do cost quite a bit though, like £250.

They do cost quite a bit though, like £250. Maybe you can speak to your GP about it and see if they have any contacts or subsidies they can offer by signing off on it.

i guess u can do it yourself. I would not advise this. Mine was done as an infant and I had no choice. Guys who have had this when older report not being able to jack for a month and it being very painful if they had a boner. All surgery has risks. I thought i was having a simple operation on my leg and a major infection developed. Be satisfied with what u have.

I’ve heard about the jacking off thing and stuff, but I think it’d be worth it for the benefits.

I would recommend getting a tight one. Even with a 8/10 on your scale, you can still masturbate without lubricant and the cosmetic result is better. I would definitely go for a high cut as you will keep many nerves and lots of sensitivity.

One month (I'd rather say 2 weeks, depends on how quickly your body heals) not jerking isn't a big issue. You won't even think about it. If done professionally, there are not many risks.

If you're doing this for purely cosmetic reasons I would advise against it. Today's medicine is top notch, but complications can still develop from it. You're an adult however, so you can do whatever you want with your body.

first why not tell your parents ? maybe they could understand, after all it is your choice ;)

secondly, I dont recommend to get cut too tight, it is hard to masterbate because there is no skin left to move, or you need lube.
my brother was cut a little loose, he can move some skin, he doesn't need lube and he has stronger orgasms than before
The other thing is that the inner skin is pretty sensitive (the skin which is pink/violet when you retract the foreskin compared to the outer skin which is white/brown and let sensitive), so I recommend to be cut as high as possible, remove the outer skin, and keep only the inner skin, so the higher the better

I'd always go through a doctor firstly. Secondly, your parents probably should know just in case you get worried about something and don't know what to do. Thirdly, if cost is an issue, you're old enough to get a job. Fourthly, the benefits you suggest I get, but aren't reasons to get circumcised YET (I say this despite in other posts being pro circumcision). Fifthly, I am circumcised, was at 15/16 and am pro, but for reasons that make sense to me. Finally, the tight cut making for painful erections is bullshit and quite funny that it would be brought up. So many people are tightly circumcised you think they all have pain when getting an erection? Ignore everyone's advice on how to get cut because most people obviously don't have a clue, and it's kinda worrying how bad some of the advice is.

Good luck!

Since you have first hand experience of getting it done as a teenager, and your in England. Can you message me? I have some specific questions.

there is a circumcised kit available at online stores, but you have to wear the kit ring for 2 weeks until the skin falls off and there is video on youtube as well
