Should I get circumcised?

So I think about getting circumcised. How do you think about it? Its not for medical reasons, I think it will be great.
Would you recommend loose or tight circumcision?
I just want to have the best result.

I would not do an operation for circumcision at age 13 or 14. When u r older there can be more pain and longer recovery time than at birth. People here on this site that had the operation for medical reasons said they could not jack for 2-3 weeks. There can be complications from surgeries as I found out when my leg was operated on. Just be happy with what u have. Cut and uncut look the same when hard. So have a boner when u undress in front of other people so u don't look different.

I would not recommend it especially for this age.

1. Recover is longer and more painful. People have said that getting an erection, especially during sleep is very painful. Often, you may not masturbate for a month.
2. You may regret it. Many people have said about losing a lot of sensitivity.

I don't recommend it. As long as you keep your penis clean you do not need to be circumcised. Lots of people regret it too. You need time to think about it.

Why would you want to give up your lovely foreskin? There can be complications and even death from being circumcised. It is also more painful when you are older. If they blow it and do a poor job you are stuck with it for life. You will loose thousands of nerves end that help in sexual pleasure. You better be damn sure if you go through with it. If you haven't had sexual intercourse yet I would suggest doing that and experiencing the pleasure your foreskin gives you before you do something stupid.

The biggest hassle was going 16 days without masturbating (and I should have waited longer). Like I say, I prefer it, but not sure I prefer it enough that I would recommend having the procedure done.

I got circumcised loosely. I still have some extra skin, which is great for masturbating. Wouldn't have wanted anymore taken off even if it isn't the most common look.

I'd say not to do it at this age. Especially since getting a boner can complicate your recovery, and as we all know, boners happen randomly at this age and continue to happen randomly until puberty is finished. so if you really want it done, I'd say wait until after puberty.

If you really wanna do it. Be prepared to wait for about 2-4 weeks of healing or even more and few days of having boners after the surgery

Yeah I‘m convinced I wanna do it. I think 2-4 weeks with some problems are worth it, that you can have great years after that. I will search for a good surgeon here in my town and will talk to him, what he recommends. I think I will go for a high&loose cut.

If you get the chance to choose the method of cirucmsion, I suggest the mogen clamp as it’s pretty quick and bloodless, they just numb your dick, stretch the foreskin, put a clamp on it and then use a surgical knife to cut the skin off.

He’s getting a high and tight, so the skin is just below is head and is loose, so I doubt there will be much feeling loss, it’ll just be like having a short foreskin.

Yeah that’s why I would choose this style. With a lot of inner foreskin, most of the feeling will stay.

As for tightness, my own preference would be for one that was more tight than loose. Not like crazy tight of course, but enough that you don’t have a bunch of wrinkly skin bunched up when it’s soft and miss some of the benefits. Also tighter will stay put with lube, so you’re sliding directly over the surface with no skin moving a lot or covering the head.

High and tight is what I’d ask for.

I enjoy lube sometimes to jerk off, but I don’t need it or even always want it. With lube, it’s kind of a strong sensation sliding over the surface on the head and the skin toward the head. Without lube, I move the skin on the shaft up and down—it doesn’t move nearly so far as an uncut guy, not over the head at all, but it still moves a little, and that’s all it needs. it’s a different kind of buildup, more of a deep sensation that doesn’t directly use the head, just the skin and shaft. But no matter how you get there, the destination is still the same. That would apply to you, too—you’d learn a few new ways to get off, but you’d still have just as much fun and get just as good a result. Maybe even better: if you think you like cut ones better, well, you’d get to play with what you prefer any time you want.

I talked to a surgeon and I will do it High and Tight, with about 0.8 inch of inner skin left, the surgery will be done at the end of summer/beginning of Fall under local anesthesia.
The doc is really recommended and professional, so the esthetic won’t be a problem. And to figure out how to jerk off then will be an interesting thing I guess.

As you probably know, the foreskin slides down during erections. Without that foreskin, major discomfort and possible pain can result, especially with too much taken off.

You can always get a second circumcision to take more off, but you can never re-grow what was lost.

The frenulum and the foreskin are the most sensitive parts of the penis. Without those parts, you lose a lot of sensitivity. You're also making an inside part of your body a permanent outside part.

I hate to say this next bit, but if anyone is teasing you for having a whole penis...well, they're probably also picking on people who are circumcised.

Anyone who tells you it's better to be circumcised...were they circumcised at birth? It'd be like a girl born with thumb telling you it's perfectly fine to be missing a thumb...all she knows is four fingers...she really can't give a fair comparison.

Here's another point to consider. The USA (where I'm from) has a high amount of medicine for old people to help their erectile dysfunction. Not coincidentally, the USA also is one of very few countries with a high circumcision rate... especially a "high and tight" rate.

If you want to get it done go ahead it can be a great thing for a bunch of people, from reading the thread it seems you’re pretty set on it but just make sure you’ve gone over all the risks just incase you’re only looking at the good side and try going round with your foreskin retracted for a week or more to get as close an idea of it as you can because if it turns out you don’t like it there’s no going back

It's your dick in the end so you need to decide yourself because it's permanent if you do - once it's gone, it's gone forever and you can't really get it back the way it was. My suggestion though is to think how much you like your dick right now and if you really don't like it, don't do it. However, if you do like it, think very carefully before you do because its possible it won't be as good/pleasurable and there are risks too so you really need to be sure before you make that decision.
