Once a week is a pretty low frequency. It's once or twice day for me and three times when I first started but It's obviously up to you how often you do it. One of the things that has changed for me is that I have fewer, longer sessions now compared to when I first started.

So if you don't feel like doing it very often then don't, but you mentioned "despite being horny". We regularly mention the test for doing it too much of it preventing you doing other things you should be doing but I guess the reverse can be true - you can fill your life with other things that leave no time for something normal and fun like masturbation.
