View Full Version : My experience with not masturbating.

Hello. I just wanted to open this threat to discuss stuff like NoFap (which is basically abstaining from masturbating and watching porn).

I used to jerk off almost every other day, which really made me feel like I was wasting huge amounts of time, so I started this NoFap challenge some ten months ago, and all I noticed was a complete loss of libido (I didn't really become much more productive, nor did I ever see any of the benefits supporters of NoFap talk about, such as a confidence boost, increased energy etc.)

I even remember making out with a girl a couple months after I started and being somewhat reluctant to actually taking it a step further. Why? I'm not really sure, perhaps my views on sexuality had been skewed due to my refraining from watching porn and masturbating to the point that I'd lost all sexual drive.

Fast forward to the last couple weeks, I've been feeling more hornier than usual (maybe it's because of this awful heat, heck if I know), and I've been considering the possibility of going back to pleasuring myself. The only problem? I feel like I might start spending too much of my time doing the deed like I used to. Also, maybe NoFap does have some benefits to it that I failed to realize and I'm going to end up regretting having fallen victim to my horniness.

What's your experience with refraining from masturbating? What do you guys think I should do?

Thanks in advance.

Do what you want to do. With my experience, being not that much, i know how hard it is to not fap even though you want to. What I try to do is not fap, but on occasion I say skrew it. If you want to fap go ahead fap, if you don't want to then find something else to do.

Idk how old you are so I'm gonna assume you're 13-17: horniness and masturbation are completely normal during puberty. While it's okay to indulge yourself every now and then, if you genuinely feel like you have a problem I recommend consulting a therapist instead of following advice from some site run by common people.

I also think the reluctance to take things a step further with this girl could've stemmed from nervousness, not because of this NoFap thing. Again, that's completely normal.

Long story short: fap if you need to, fap if you want to. If you feel like you have a problem, chalk it up to someone with a Ph.D instead of someone with a high school diploma.

Masturbating is a perfectly fine thing to do, especially in the ages of puberty. Do what you think you should do. If you feel like it, go for it. The only time it turns bad is if it just becomes too much that you're missing important things just to jerk off.
