oh bowling and mini golf are both great ideas for a first date. going out to eat in general, coffee, etc. the great thing is you could always do coffee, ice cream, lunch/dinner and do bowling or mini golf if you wanted too. movies are nice but it is true you can't really talk during the movie. not to say you cant do something before or after.

Some other ideas: picnic at a park, the beach (it is warmer now), a museum or something, different stuff like that can also be very nice.

Don't just watch a movie, on a first date you are supposed to get to know each other, not sit silently in a dark room for two hours. Talking is important, your knowledge of that person won't be any different when you walk out of the movie room* than when you walked in. (*I don't know if there is a different word for it).

Mine would be to just go out and get something to eat. It gives you private time to talk and get to know each other. You can find out likes and dislikes and interests and other things.

My first date we went and got gelato, walked around for a bit, stopped at a park and relaxed. I think that was pretty good :) Pretty much anything really chill, relaxed... nothing loud for a first date. Later on though if me and my partners interests were similar... amusement parks, concerts, shit like that!

I'd say the best way to handle a first date is breaking the ice and getting to know each other. The way I'd handle it is maybe going for a nice meal together, doesn't have to be too fancy but possibly a low-budget restaurant as opposed to McDonalds and then a day in the park/bowling, just to have a nice day and get on well.

Bowling and movie are good ideas, but i think that just hang out together would be fun.
