Why do girls and boys have different hair patterns in their public region? What's biological reason?

Thanks,
Andrea

Genetics

It has to be mainly genetic since most girls are similar, and most boys are similar.

But I have seen really wide variations when my family goes to naturist resorts and nude beaches. There are more than a few women and girls who have their pubic hair growth extending upward to the navel or even higher, in a diamond shape just like a man. And I have also seen some men and boys whose pubic hair line is practically straight across at the top, just like a woman.

This is interesting. I wasn't even aware of this.

Because of the sex organs and the placement of them. The pubic hair grows around the pubic area.

The hair follicles react to the levels of oestrogen and testosterone in the blood in different patterns, so at puberty, girls get more oestrogen and get a girl type of pubic hair. Boys get more testosterone at puberty so they start to grow pubic hair like a man's.

Yeah as others have said, it depends on hair follicle development and that depends on hormones and primarily genetics. People will have different genetics telling their bodies to develop in different ways, and because of those genes hair will grow in different places, thicknesses, and lengths.

Other folks have said this as welll, but hormone levels and genetics...
and also just having different stuff down there kind of dictates how it is covered.
