View Full Version : How do you do your hair

How does everyone do their hair?

If I'm lazy I put the top layer in a bun and let the rest loose or if I'm really lazy I just kinda put it into one ponytail. But when I get to do my hair, sometimes it's a struggle just to do one little bun and the rest loose (depending on how tangled my hair gets). I have played around with doing it nice but I wanna get more consistent on my managing my hair styles. I uploaded some attachtchments of different ways of me wearing my hair.

I want what feels right on my head (like feels right with my vibe and what I'm going for that day but also not pulling my hair or hurting me), looks decent, but most importantly that it stays put and doesn't get too messed up daily.
I have been wanting to do an ombré for months and months now but am hesitant about it. Anyways, I love my hair and really wanna make the most out of it this summer. I plan on going crazy taking photos this summer with me and my hair, me and my family, and our dogs so we have a great album of memories lol but my hair gotta be photo ready. Plus I'm going back to school this summer so that's another distraction and another reason to make the most of my hair.

Without rambling too much off topic, The purpose of this thread is I wanted to know what you all thought about making the most of one's hair, how you prefer to wear your hair and what making the most out of your hair means to you?

I have very long hair down to my bottom. When I shower at night I keep it wrapped up in a towel until I do my homework , right before go to bed I dry it with a blow dryer and put into a ponytail with a couple rubber bands couple inches apart till I reach the end. In the morning I'll brush it out and wear it straight down or in a ponytail. With long hairnot much I can do but to wear it straight down ,brade it ,or in a ponytail.

Sides trimmed and top a little bit longer, using gel to make a faux-hawk.

I just keep it short. Less hassle. :)

Brush mine every morning after I wake up and as many times as necessary throughout the day.

I usually do a bun and wear a hat, or a half bun with just the top tied back and the rest down. My hair is way longer now, down to my shoulders, so I can wear it down

I usually pull my hair back into a bun/half bun, ponytail, wear it to the side in some way or other or just comb it out and leave it down to dry naturally. The only time I use a brush is if I'm pulling it back, I mainly use a comb because otherwise my head would look like a giant ball of fluff (my hair is really curly). I couldn't tell you the last time I used a blow dryer... my hair is too fabulous to dry out ;P it gets annoying to manage but somehow I do.

Mine is long and straight, more than halfway to my waist. Usually I just wear it down, but it's long enough to braid and that's always fun. I can do one or two ponytails with it too. I'm usually in a hurry getting ready for school in the morning, so I tend to go for the simplest possibility which ends up being nothing, or the quick 10 second ponytail.

I wear it down most of the time. I may put some curls in it if I'm going out. I waer it in a ponytail for track and a bun for gymnastics.

Mine is wavy. Since I started dying it blonde, it's been easier to keep down so I'm not as often pulling it up. However, I've been wearing ponytails here and there because of the warmer weater.

I have a wavy long hair, and I always wanted it to be straight. My mother didn't allow me to use straighteners, said they are not for little girls. You can't even imagine how I wanted to get rid of those waves. Now I have my own straightening brush and can do such hairstyle as I want. Monica (https://mystraightener.com/best-straightening-brush/) helped me with choosing the appropriate tool.

I like long ponytails and usually do my hair so. Also can make two separate tails. These hairstyles just don't look on me when my hair is not straightened.

I don't really do anything to mine apart from putting it to the side. Mine kinda curls at the front and on top as it's wavy. When it's short i can style it easier.

Right now I've got kind of an emo thing going on (can see it in my avatar). My hair has always been short. This is the longest I've ever had it and I'm liking it :)

Used to have longish hair since I was a kid....Cut it off short when I gained weight and my bony face became rounder....It was a mistake and everybody commented about me be not skinny any more after that....But now I just stick to it...

When my hair is freshly washed, i’ll normally just brush it and keep it down. My hair is naturally slightly wavy, and I really like it. Sometimes if it’s gonna be a hot day i’ll have it half up/half down to keep it out of my face. If I’m going out somewhere nice or feel like dressing myself up a bit more, I’ll straighten it too regardless if it’s all down or half up/half down.

If my hair isn’t as fresh, i’ll just tie it up in a high messy ponytail. If i’m feeling fancy, I’ll straighten the pony so it looks a bit smarter.

I just need my hair to grow a bit more, so I can do dutch braids without it all falling out at the tails. When it does grow I will definitely do dutch braids a lot of the time.

Usually just down and straight, with the right side tucked behind my ear. Some day I want to get a pixie cut though.

Pixie cuts are super cute, and I had one back in 2nd grade. I think you'd look great in one if you ever decide to go ahead and cut yours. What I liked about mine was zero maintenance, just wash it and let it dry and you are good to go. I've been thinking of doing one again just for a change.

I do it two ways.

If it is a very special occasion I soak it, pat it slightly dry and take a curling brush and curl it back, almost like Draco Malloy in the first to HP movies. Then I kind of sweep about 3/4s of the top to one side to give it a DJT Jr. look.

The second way is how I always do it leaving to house. I brush the top to the right of my head and curl the side area backwards. I of course brush the back of my head down. I then comb the front down as much as possible. I then use extra firm hold hair gel and slick it up to the right side. I then comb it to make it nice and clean. I then do a light coating of 48 hour firm hold hairspray to get it to stay in place. You can see how I do it in my avatar.

I am pretty fond of my hair :) .

I don't really do anything with it. It's pretty short so I just comb it after I shower. It doesn't get tangled or anything when I sleep, so it's relatively easy to maintain.

If my hair is short enough, I'll basically just leave it as it naturally lays. Once it grows out some, I'll just do a simple side part style. For haircuts I do a 2 on the sides and a 4 on top. In the summers I might do a short buzz cut, just to avoid cutting it anytime soon.

Was it and comb it. Its short so doesn't need anything else and doesn't give me any choices to make.
