Tinder is not a dating site more than it is a hook up thing. I know ppl that are looking for hook ups on tinder and been successful, not so true about me friends that use it to find a gf/bf.

I've used tinder but I've just matched with people I already know or match and meet new people. I've never been successful hooking up through tinder but I've never tried to hook up. I can think of three girls from tinder who we know both see each others snapchat storys and are friends on there but other than that have nothing meaningful.

The OP was talking about Tinder for minors!!! If you're 18 tinder is fine for dating or hookups. I wouldn't recommend tinder if you're 17 and under. I would start with yellow.

I know a girl (she and I used to be very close friends) and she uses Tinder but only to hook up with guys for sex. She uses them and dumps them once she's gotten what she wants. She is a sex addict and has had so many sex partners (many through Tinder) that even she has no idea how many sexual partners she's had. We're no longer friends.

Me and my friends made one once just for fun and to see what it was like. I would stay away from it! Things got creepy and most guys were just looking for nudes. Like others have said you will not find a meaningful relationship there.

Like others have said you will not find a meaningful relationship there.
I'm sorry to hear about your creepy and dampening experiences from Tinder. But the truth is, not everyone is a creep and asks for nudes/pics/sex etc... The same in real life really, it honestly depends on who you come across. The key difference with Tinder is that it's internet based, which makes it easy for people to fake who they are (e.g. pictures, age, interests, bio etc), so it's really difficult to find someone that will take you seriously because they're simply hiding behind a screen.

However, that's not to say that it's impossible. Personally for me, Tinder has been the best experience. Through our mutual love for music, I matched with a girl (which I never thought would ever happen to me) and we've been getting on amazingly ever since that day. We spend so much time talking to each other on the phone whenever I'm not with her, and we've had so many amazing experiences together that I can't imagine how different my life would be without her.

Summary: not everybody is a creep, and good things can come out of internet-dating.

I've used it, but there are too many guys asking for nudes or wanting to have sex. It's probably fine if you're into casual sex, but I didn't like the app, so I deleted my profile.
