So i was talking to my friend the other day and she told me she thought that the fact that i see my father naked and he sees me is wrong. We aren't nudest or anything but we also aren't afraid to be nude at home. For example if i don't bring my clothes into the bathroom after I shower, I will just walk to my room to dress. My parents and brother do the same. Is there something wrong with this, should I not be seeing my dad or brother or should they not see me?

well..there is no wrong in walking around naked in front of other family members when it is just ok in the family and all are comfortable in seeing others naked.i have done it..i don't think any wrong in it.Almost all are of the same opinion here.

I've seen my siblings and parents nude often. Nothing wrong with that. If someone sees that as a problem, well, that is exactly it: THEIR problem, not mine.

Here at our house we have 3 showers My Moms bathroom/shower in her room, the house bathroom/shower and the shower by the pool. so if you use the shower by the pool and you take off all your clothing no one here would care. As I have said before being in a all Female house helps.

It varies from family to family. My family is very much near-nudist when we're at home, but when traveling as a group we try to adhere to the mores of wherever we are, because some places are just touchy about that sort of thing and we don't really want to harsh their sartorial buzz as it were. Whenever I had friends over growing up, my parents would kind of remind everyone in the family beforehand that at least some attempt at covering our respective asses should be made if that friend came from a less liberal/libertine family (there was one incident where a girl I'd been friends with for a very long time saw my mother naked (she cooks in only an apron and shoes) and pretty much immediately called her parents (her ultra conservative, denim ankle skirt/dress wearing bitch of a mother, her father was, awkwardly, really nice) to be picked up and that was the last time we ever hung out, which in hindsight is probably good, because I had a major crush on her that I do NOT think would have been reciprocated at all...). i think people often times associate nudity with sexuality or being sexual. This isn’t always the case. If your family is comfortable with it then so be it. As long as no one is getting hurt or forced to be nude then do whatever you are comfortable with.

Nudity, sensuality, and sexuality are all different things. Being naked in front of others certainly doesn't imply anything sexual, so I don't see anything wrong with it. There is nothing wrong with that, different families have different rules and habits and when you all feel comfortable with it, it is totally fine and acceptable.

I'ts better to avoid such situations. In my family only my dad has seen me naked when is necessary and two three times by accident. My stepmother has never seen me nude.
If there is no specific reason you better avoid it so...

For most Europeans it is also very common to go to mixed sauna's, with family or friends. And in these sauna's you make a fool of yourself when you don't go completely naked.

Show a man a picture of a naked woman and most men will be very aroused. In other words, if a mom sees her son naked, well, seeing a man's naked body wasn't as likely to arouse her a lot anyways, so usually, no big deal. But a father seeing the naked body of his developed young adult daughter and it usually is something dads try to avoid because it can certainly create some mixed feelings.

I've seen my share of uncontrollable erections by friends, strangers, and family.. Honestly my dad or brother might have their body react differently than their mind thinks it should and I know I've found my body responding to certain sights regardless of who I was looking at. The reality is none of it is acted upon and the time spent thinking about it is momentary.

A resort is contained but you'll definitely have to interact with people. A beach is open to anyone but you're less likely to have to interact with people. Just depends on what you want for your first time. :D

My experience with having been to lots of naturist resorts and nude beaches with my family over the years is that you quickly realize that you are there to have fun and kinda forget about being naked. Within 10-20 minutes during your first time at a new place, you not only don't care that you are naked, you actually don't even think about being naked, but instead are focused on having fun.

People at the resorts are very relaxed and honestly aren't staring at anyone.......even when my parents host huge parties in our back yard for 50-60 or more people, it's a very comfortable situation to be in.

Once someone has seen me naked, it no longer matters to me at all if they see me hundreds of times more. :) And it's never mattered to me if there were 10 people naked on the beach, or 300 at a resort.

But I think the best practice for eventually attending a nude beach or a naturist resort is at home, with your family and friends. If you can be comfortable being naked around people you already know, then you won't have any problems doing that in a different setting.

If you are near beaches, I'd recommend a more secluded nude/clothing optional/ or accepted beach. That way there are people but very few. If you aren't near beaches just go to a resort during a weekday when there aren't many people there :)

I'm just curious, having grown up in a family where that happens every day and no one even pays attention to others being naked.

Do you think there is some subconscious sexual aspect to being naked in front of your dad, perhaps because of the way you have been brought up or taught by your parents, or is it embarrassment since you aren't used to that, or is it something else?

I'd love to hear your thoughts so I can better understand exactly what it is about being naked that bothers some people, but not others.

In this country almost all families have sauna at home, and we see all family members naked since we are born. Nothing special about it.

Feelings can't always be explained and don't need to.
Some feelings change over time when you get used to a situation etc. and some feelings will stay with us forever.

When I was born, I didn't come with clothes – and when my mom and dad first saw me, I was completely naked. So why should it be a problem to be naked in front of each other now? It's natural... plus I'm not shy, also with friends seeing me naked.

it all differs from family to family. mine is like yours and very open with nudity, I'd say my siblings each see me nude a couple times a week, and the same goes for me seeing them. But I have friends who would be repulsed at the idea of their brother seeing them naked. it just boils down to whether you can seperate nudity from sexuality, and that's usually due to growing up in a household where clothes are considered optional
