Need advice.

Pretty sure this girl likes me but i don't like her in that way. Her friends said she wanted to tell me something. I like her as a friend and don't want a relationship with her.


update: I told her and she's fine with it. We're still friends. :)

My main point is pretty basic and very abrupt: do not feel like you have to be with this girl just to save her feelings. The likely outcome is that she will be upset for a while, and may resent you, but it’s better than lying to her.

On the other hand, try your best not to be rude to her. If you want to try a friendship with her you will have to be gentle and kind to keep the hope that there could be a friendship. However this could bring up the risk that she continues to have a crush on you if you continue to talk and be friends due to the contact and interaction.

It honestly depends on the girl: some are really understanding and get over it and sustain a good and healthy friendship, others don’t. Let her down easy and see how she reacts and try and take it from there. If she is understanding it is likely she is he first type of girl, if she is really bitter and resentful she may turn out to be the second type of girl.

Ah, I was not aware that the friendship was already there :) hopefully in this case she will be more understanding and more likely to get over her crush on you so you can still be good friends, if she is really your friend then she will respect your decisions similar to the post above
